Description

Interesting part-time opportunity. If you are looking for a few hours a week, check this posting out! The Community Ambassadors will support Unity House of Troy through various roles and different work sites throughout the community. Part-time position 4-8 hours per week. Responsibilities: Greeting of all guests. Provide a welcoming experience Assist with Unity House Children's Holiday Program. Attend events and answer patron’s questions Assist with where and when needed. Promote an environment of inclusion and belonging. Requirements: Ability to lift up to 4 0lbs without assistance. Ability to work with the public; good customer service skills. Ability to communicate effectively. Willingness to learn and follow directions. Interested in working and the ability to adhere to established arrival times and assigned schedules. Ability to learn about Rensselaer County to offer support to patrons. Must be able to stand. Must be able to walk indoors and outdoors. Unity House is a Rensselaer County-based human service agency that provides a wide range of services to meet the otherwise unmet needs of people in our community who are hurting and struggling. We assist those who are living in poverty, adults living with mental illness or HIV/AIDS, victims of domestic violence, and children with developmental delays. We work to achieve social justice in our community and to create a better understanding of those we serve.
