It is about helping create a positive, welcoming, and supportive experience for participants each day. The successful candidate will understand the importance of patience, professionalism, and trauma-informed interactions while working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences..</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">This role is ideal for a dependable, safety-focused individual who enjoys working with people and contributing to a supportive team environment.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">This is a part-time position in our Red Deer Training Centre, working approximately 18.75 hours per week.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Transportation Support</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Safely transport participants between Red Deer and Olds College using Ballad’s transit van.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Ensure participant safety, comfort, and professionalism during transportation.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Follow all traffic laws, transportation regulations, and Ballad safety procedures.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Maintain a clean and organized vehicle environment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Participate in Ballad’s safety program and contribute to a culture of safety, accountability, and respect.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Participant Support</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Build positive and professional relationships with participants while maintaining appropriate boundaries.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Interact with participants using a trauma-informed, respectful, and compassionate approach.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Help create a welcoming and supportive environment for participants throughout daily transportation activities.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Communicate participant concerns or observations to the appropriate program staff when needed.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Experience &amp; Qualifications</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\"> Valid Alberta Class 4 Driver’s License required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\"> Clean driver’s abstract required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\"> Experience transporting passengers in a professional setting is considered an asset.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\"> Strong commitment to safety and safe driving practices.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\"> Comfortable working with individuals experiencing barriers to employment or other life challenges.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\"> Strong interpersonal and communication skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\"> Reliable, patient, calm, and professional demeanor.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\"> Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\"> Basic administrative and computer skills are considered an asset.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\"> Experience in human services, community support, or participant-centered environments is considered an asset.</span></li>\n</ul>",
