Description

Overview The primary purpose of this position is to perform calibration activities in support of manufacturing and inspection functions. Responsibilities - Perform calibrations on all measurement devices used in the production and inspection of COOK Endoscopy devices.- Maintain and review calibration system and documentation for compliance with FDA, cGMP and ISO 13485 requirements.- Repair/replace damaged equipment as needed.- Perform metrology training for Production and Inspection employees as necessary.- Perform other duties as required- Responsible for ensuring that calibrations and product testing are performed in a timely manner. • Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization• Must strictly adhere to safety requirements• Maintain regular and punctual attendance• Must maintain company quality and quantity standards• Must have effective oral and written communication skills• Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision • Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations- Ability to read/write/understand product documentation, and written instructions.- Access to confidential controlled documentation, processes and equipment. Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED required.• Working knowledge of programmable controllers• Familiarity with and working knowledge of equipment and machines within all areas• Strong mechanical background • Working knowledge of various hand tools • Experience with computers, data entry and Microsoft Office• Must have knowledge or aptitude in the following areas:Electricity/ElectronicsMachinery repairReading, understanding and drawing prints and schematicsRecord keeping Physical Requirements: - Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations- Excellent manual dexterity.- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment requiring moving to various departments to perform calibrations.
