Responsible for duties pertaining to park operations, maintenance and visitor services at Fort Richardson State Park. The position maintains park facilities including preventative maintenance (cleaning/inspecting) of all park buildings, maintains park grounds by mowing, tree and hedge trimming, maintaining picnic facilities, trash and litter removal, operating, repairing and maintaining equipment and facilities. Provides visitor services by providing general information about the park to the public and visitors. Performs duties including, but not limited to, advises visitors of park rules and regulations; promotes public relations via voluntary compliance; and patrols state lands and responds to emergency situations; and prepares for emergency response. Works under the general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned.
