The driver will operate vehicles to deliver hazardous waste to disposal or treatment sites while ensuring the safety of themselves, the public, and the environment.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<li><strong>Transport Hazardous Waste:</strong></li>\n<li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Safely operate company trucks to transport hazardous waste materials to designated disposal, recycling, or treatment facilities.</li>\n  <li>Ensure that all hazardous waste is correctly packaged, marked, and labeled according to DOT regulations.</li>\n </ul></li>\n<li><strong>Compliance and Safety:</strong>\n <ul>\n  <li>Adhere to all DOT regulations, including maintaining the appropriate hazardous waste management regulations and other state-specific requirements.</li>\n  <li>Complete required safety checks before, during, and after transportation to ensure vehicle and load safety.</li>\n  <li>Ensure all hazardous materials are stored and transported in a manner that prevents spills, leaks, or accidents.</li>\n  <li>Keep records of waste manifests, delivery logs, and other compliance-related documentation.</li>\n </ul></li>\n<li><strong>Inspection and Maintenance:</strong>\n <ul>\n  <li>Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checks on tires, brakes, lights, fuel levels, and load containment.</li>\n  <li>Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or incidents to management immediately.</li>\n  <li>Perform basic maintenance tasks or report the need for more extensive repairs.</li>\n  <li>Responsible for cleanliness of exterior and interior of vehicle.</li>\n </ul></li>\n<li><strong>Customer Service:</strong>\n <ul>\n  <li>Maintain professional relationships with customers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of hazardous waste.</li>\n  <li>Assist in coordinating waste pick-up schedules and providing necessary documentation to clients.</li>\n </ul></li>\n<li><strong>Emergency Response:</strong>\n <ul>\n  <li>In the event of a spill, accident, or other emergency, follow established emergency response protocols to mitigate risks and protect the public and environment.</li>\n </ul></li>\n<li><strong>Training and Continuing Education:</strong>\n <ul>\n  <li>Attend required safety and compliance training, including HAZMAT training, DOT regulations, and emergency response procedures.</li>\n  <li>Stay up-to-date with changes in hazardous waste laws and transportation requirements.</li>\n </ul></li>\n<li><strong>Documentation and Reporting:</strong>\n <ul>\n  <li>Maintain accurate records of hazardous waste shipments, including manifests, disposal documentation, and inspections.</li>\n </ul></li>\n<p>Ensure all paperwork is properly completed and submitted in a timely manner.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Education & Experience:</strong></li>\n <ul>\n  <li>High school diploma or equivalent (GED).</li>\n  <li>Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsement (no automatic exemptions).</li>\n  <li>Minimum of 3-5 years of experience driving a truck, including experience with hazardous materials.</li>\n  <li>Previous experience in hazardous waste transportation and tankers are preferred.</li>\n </ul>\n <li><strong>Skills and Knowledge:</strong></li>\n <ul>\n  <li>In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations related to hazardous materials transportation.</li>\n  <li>Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance.</li>\n  <li>Strong communication skills for customer interactions and reporting.</li>\n  <li>Ability to handle emergency situations effectively and safely.</li>\n  <li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to following procedures.</li>\n </ul>\n <li><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 70 pounds).</li>\n  <li>Must be able to sit for extended periods and operate large vehicles.</li>\n  <li>Ability to work in all weather conditions and be on the road for extended hours.</li>\n  <li>Must be able to travel inter and out of state often</li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Certifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Current HAZMAT endorsement on CDL.</li>\n <li>Tanker Endorsement on CDL.</li>\n <li>Ability to obtain TWIC card.</li>\n <li>40-hour Hazwoper preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Job Condition and Environment</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>The job requires driving in varying weather conditions and environments, including urban, rural, and industrial settings.</li>\n <li>Exposure to hazardous materials will require the use of protective equipment as specified by safety regulations.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Expected Hours of Work</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>This position may involve working long hours, nights, and weekends depending on job/delivery schedules.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Company Overview</h2>\n<p>At 365 Marine & Shoreside Services, we specialize in professional tank cleaning services designed to meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
