Paid time off is earned according to the local policy and increases with the length of employment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Click HERE to discover how we empower team members to grow, thrive, and advance in their careers.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>WE LOVE OUR WORK.</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepares, season, and mix, grab & go salads/sandwiches/etc., compound salads, fruit/veggie displays, other foodstuffs for consumption in dining areas at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races by performing the following duties.</li>\n <li>Slices meats/cheeses/vegetables/fruits, portions food to fill orders.</li>\n <li>Fills commissary orders to outlets.</li>\n <li>Adds seasoning to foods during mixing or cooking/mixing.</li>\n <li>Observes and tests foods being cooked by tasting, smelling, and piercing with fork to determine that it is cooked.</li>\n <li>Slices meats/cheeses/vegetables/fruits, portions food to fill orders.</li>\n <li>Washes, peels, cuts, and shreds vegetables and fruits to prepare them for use.</li>\n <li>Other duties may be assigned.</li>\n <li>This job has no supervisory responsibilities</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>BRING US YOUR BEST.</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>3 months experience in the culinary field.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.</p></li>\n <li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.</li>\n <li><p>Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission.</p></li>\n <li><p>Attend our West Virginia Food Handlers Class and pass certification.</p></li>\n <li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.</li>\n <li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and risk of electrical shock.
