Overview
Under the direction of OASIS Director and in consultation with the Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Compliance, the Student Accommodation Coordinator collaborates with students, faculty, academic programs, and Student Affairs departments to facilitate the review and determination of ADA-accommodated support in academic and learning environments. The position provides direct, student‑centered services through the interactive accommodation process to promote access, student success, persistence, and graduation. The Student Accommodation Coordinator also supports faculty and campus partners through consultation, training, and the development of educational resources and workshops designed to increase awareness of accommodation processes, roles, and responsibilities. This role is grounded in the University’s values of intellectual pursuit and service to humanity.

Responsibilities
Communicate with students submitting accommodation requests and process cases in a timely manner. Meet with those students in-person or virtually as appropriate to facilitate the process.
Maintain accurate accommodation files in accordance with current documentation guidelines and applicable regulations.
Collaborate with students and faculty to implement approved accommodations by providing clear, accessible guidance and ensuring access to virtual documents and accommodation-related resources. The Student Accommodation Coordinator is expected to be available and accessible in assigned office during normal business days and hours.
Provide regular updates to the OASIS Director and Associate Dean of Student Affairs regarding caseload status, especially cases that need administrative attention.
Complete AHEAD ADA and Accessibility Information Management (AIM) training.
Utilize AIM to update, manage, and communicate ADA-related information and documentation.
As needed, serve as the coordinator for TR301 Truett Hall Testing Center, overseeing scheduling logistics, maintenance coordination, and general operational support. This role does not include exam proctoring and/or scheduling activities.
Provide academic coaching and ongoing learning support to students in individual and group formats, in collaboration with fellow Learning Specialists.
Assist faculty and staff in identifying students who may benefit from writing support, tutoring services, or other appropriate campus referrals.
Develop and deliver workshops and educational sessions for current and prospective students regarding access to and utilization of accommodation services and processes.
Attend meetings and events as assigned by the OASIS Director and Associate Dean of Student Affairs.
Assist with Commencement, New Student Orientation, and/or other university ceremonies and events as needed.
Attend and participate, as appropriate, in division-, department-, and university-level meetings, committees, and events.
Uphold and apply policies and procedures in the university catalog and program handbooks.
Demonstrate dedication to the university’s core values of intellectual pursuit and service to humanity through professional practice.
Provide exceptional service and be able to articulate the mission and values of Touro University California.
Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with students from varied backgrounds and experiences, ensuring equitable access to academic programs and services in compliance with nondiscrimination requirements.
Demonstrate the ability to work flexible hours on an intermittent basis, including evenings and Sundays, to support special events and institutional needs.
Serve as a Clery Act Campus Security Authority (CSA) in accordance with university requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required (Education, Health Science, Social Science, or related field preferred) and/or comparable work experience.
Experience with ADA and supporting students with documented disabilities.
Microsoft Office competency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Zoom video conferencing competency.
Familiarity with ADA and applicable laws, rules, and regulations regarding students with disabilities
Familiarity with FERPA and HIPAA applicable laws, rules, and regulations regarding student records
Ability to present engaging material to high-achieving graduate students.
Preferred experience in higher education, preferably student or human services
Preferred experience with health science programs
Preferred experience with graduate level accommodation services
Preferred experience conducting evaluations and recommendations for accommodations.
