If you&rsquo;re looking to make a real impact and gain hands-on experience while growing with a mission-driven team, this internship is for you.</p><h2><strong>ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP POSITION</strong></h2><p>The <strong>In-Home Therapy Intern</strong> provides structured, strengths-based clinical services to youth and families under the supervision of licensed clinicians. This unpaid, part-time internship offers hands-on experience in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering family therapy, and collaborating with caregivers and community providers &mdash; all within a culturally responsive, trauma-informed framework.</p><h2><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></h2><p><em>Responsibilities are completed under clinical supervision in alignment with internship requirements.</em></p><ul><li>Assist in conducting comprehensive behavioral health assessments, including the Massachusetts CANS, and contribute to developing treatment plans with caregivers and youth.</li><li>Manage a caseload of up to 4 members</li><li>Participate in creating and monitoring risk management/safety plans and support crisis response as appropriate under supervision.</li><li>Deliver individual, family, and collateral therapy sessions in the home or community, guided by a licensed supervisor.</li><li>Identify community resources and support coordination with schools, medical providers, and other behavioral health professionals.</li><li>Support families in decision-making, self-advocacy, and skill-building to maintain therapeutic progress.</li><li>Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with agency and academic requirements.</li><li>Collaborate with Family Partners, clinical supervisors, and interdisciplinary teams; attend weekly supervision and team meetings.</li><li>Provide culturally responsive, family-driven services consistent with CBHI/wraparound principles.</li><li>Flexible schedule to meet family needs Monday&ndash;Friday within 8:00 AM&ndash;8:00 PM.</li></ul><h2><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></h2><h3><strong><em>Internship Eligibility</em></strong></h3><ul><li>Enrollment in an accredited MSW, LMHC, or LMFT program as a second-year/advanced clinical intern.</li><li>Eligible to begin field placement or practicum per academic requirements.</li><li>Commitment to trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive practice.</li><li>Valid, unrestricted driver&rsquo;s license and reliable transportation for community-based work.</li><li>Willingness to obtain Massachusetts CBHI CANS certification</li><li>Strong clinical writing, documentation, and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to attend in-home visits in person two days per week, and the CSR office on Wednesdays.</li></ul><h3><strong><em>Preferred Qualifications</em></strong></h3><ul><li>One year minimum of prior clinical or field experience in culturally diverse mental health or human services settings.</li><li>Bilingual or multilingual proficiency.</li></ul><h2><strong>SUPERVISION &amp; LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES</strong></h2><ul><li>Weekly individual supervision provided by licensed clinicians (LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT).</li><li>Weekly administrative supervision by Intern Admin Managers</li><li>Weekly group supervision</li><li>Opportunities to meet academic field education and licensure-track competencies.</li><li>Exposure to interdisciplinary collaboration and community-based mental health care.</li><li>Access to internal trainings and professional development opportunities.</li></ul><h2><strong><em>As part of your application, you will be asked for the following documents</em></strong></h2><ul><li>Recommendation letter upload and/or</li><li>Reference contact information (3 professional references)</li></ul><h2><strong>ABOUT CSR</strong></h2><p>Children&rsquo;s Services of Roxbury (CSR) is one of Massachusetts&rsquo; largest Black-led nonprofits, providing holistic services to more than 6,000 children and families annually.
