AC Disaster Consulting is seeking Debris Staff to assist oversight operations in the removal of debris generated by a natural disaster in your area. The Debris Staff will play an integral part of helping citizens and communities recover from natural disasters. Applicants should be passionate about making a difference in the world, and interested in supporting local, state, and federal jurisdictions prepare for and recover from disasters.\n\n Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities: \n\nReasonable accommodation will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the following essential functions:\n\n Report to designated areas at an assigned time.\n Attend safety and operational briefings.\n Work with contractors and crews on site and report daily or as needed to assigned leadership/field supervisors.\n Report to designated areas at assigned times.\n Monitor the collection of disaster generated debris from authorized areas and documenting the work as it is performed.\n Ensure that only FEMA eligible debris is removed, loaded and hauled to disposal site.\n Work with contractors and crew in the field and report to the Field Supervisor.\n Operate a Smart Phone Application or Hand Held Unit to record vital information.\n Ensure that debris loads are properly contained in the loading container.\n Record and report any damage resulting from debris removal operations.\n Perform other duties as assigned.\n\n Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: \n\n Ability to work outside for long hours in varying weather conditions.\n Ability to pass a Background Check, as needed.\n Be highly organized and detail oriented.\n Be an active listener.\n Possess strong time management skills, along with strong oral and written communication skills.\n Due to the nature of the work, candidates must have excellent communication skills and be able to write legibly.\n\n Supervisory Responsibilities: \n\nNo supervisory responsibilities expected for this role, but higher level roles will have lead/oversight responsibility.\n\n Expected Hours of Work: \n\nExpected schedule 6 7 days per week up to 12 hours per day. Schedule may vary. Work on evenings and weekends may be required. Dependability and punctuality are paramount.\n\n Travel Requirements: \n\n Up to 25% travel is expected for this position.\n Must be willing to travel and deploy to client sites for extended periods of time.\n\n Physical Demands: \n\n Mobility required on site with clients.\n Driving/sitting/standing for hours at a time\n Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. repetitively throughout the day and as needed.\n\n Working Environment: \n\n This is an on site position in varying weather conditions in possible adverse conditions and debris sites with a moderate noise level.\n\n Requirements\n\n Minimum Requirements: \n\n High school diploma or equivalent\n Experience and knowledge to ensure only FEMA eligible debris is removed, loaded and hauled to the disposal site.\n Willing and able to work with contractors and crews on site and report daily or as needed to assigned leadership/field supervisors as positive representatives of the company.\n Willing and able to report to designated areas at assigned times.\n Willingness to travel to client sites and access to reliable transportation for travel within the region this position serves.\n Must reside within the commuting distance of the project area.\n Access to a reliable vehicle and possess current, valid car insurance and a good driving record.\n Access to a smart phone if needed and ability to operate any tablets or devices required.\n\n Additional Preferred: \n\n Two or more years debris monitoring/multiple storm experience is preferred.\n\n Additional Requirements: \n\n Must be 18 years of age or older.\n Eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsored visa is required.
