Description
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Draft and review contracts, company policies on legal, compliance and risk management related matters.
Provide legal opinion and attend to contentious matters.
Offer legal advice on claim, compliance and sanction issues, work with relevant departments in formulating effective correction/prevention plans.
Archive legal documentation.
Work with external counsel on designated matters.
Conduct internal compliance assessment on assigned regulatory compliance and risk management topics related to freight forwarding and logistics industry.
Provide in-house training to employees on regulatory compliance and risk management issues and assist with development of training materials.
Establishing key risk indicators (KRIs) to track risk exposure.
Other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business administration, law, or related field.
Minimum 4-5 years of experience in compliance, operations, and/or legal.
Excellent organization, analytical, and written and oral communication skills.
Strong time management skills and the ability to multi-tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, while exercising sound judgement.
Candidate must be self-motivated, customer-service oriented, and eager to ensure the success of the team.
Ability to function independently, with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
