    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p data-pasted=\"true\">****THIS IS A SEASONAL POSITION****</p><p><strong>Position Purpose</strong></p><p>Under general direction, lifeguards are responsible for the safety of patrons at the city pool.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Essential Functions and Basic Duties</strong></p><ul><li>Performs activities necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of patrons of the City Pool.</li><li>Performs pool maintenance tasks as necessary.</li><li>Assists as needed in the office and concession areas.</li><li>Assists with recognizing and correcting safety concerns in all park facilities.</li><li>Performs related work as required.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p><strong>Training and Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Valid lifeguard certification.</li><li>Valid Safety and First Aid certification.</li><li>Valid CPR certification.</li></ul><p><strong>Special Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Must be at least 16 years of age or older.</li><li>Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.</li><li>Possession of a valid driver&rsquo;s license issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.</li><li>Must consent to and pass a criminal background check.</li></ul><p><strong>Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</strong></p><ul><li>Working knowledge of pool safety and safety program implementation and enforcement.</li><li>Good management skills and ability to use good judgment under stressful circumstances.</li><li>Ability to maintain records of chemical readings and swim lessons.</li><li>Ability to perform moderately difficult tasks around the pool.</li></ul><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong><u>An Equal Opportunity Employer</u></strong></p><p>We do not discriminate on-the-basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, pregnancy, childbirth, pregnancy/childbirth related medical conditions age, or disability or any other protected class.
