Uncrewed Systems comprises unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs), unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) and autonomy software. HII creates advanced unmanned solutions for defense, marine research and commercial applications. We have an exciting opportunity to join our Modeling and Simulation Group as a Simulation Engineer to support our rapidly expanding portfolio of autonomous vessels.  As HII Unmanned Systems continues to push the boundaries of multi-domain autonomy, one of our primary focuses is the architecture of our underwater and surface vehicles. The Simulation Engineer will apply knowledge about hydrodynamics, virtual models, and HII’s unmanned vehicles to develop and execute a digital twin modeling and simulation environment.  This will involve integration of vehicle hardware with the simulator and software development to enable a robust virtual testbed for advance autonomy solutions.
