Job Summary
In this role, you will set and operate CNC milling machines and Surface Grinders in the manufacture and repair of elastomer & plastic moulds, press-tools and other tooling components.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Set & Operate CNC milling machines (3 & 4 axis)
Set & Operate CNC/NC surface grinders
Carry out in process Quality Inspections and rectify/escalate Quality issues
Comply with all corporate and local site Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality policies, procedures and regulations
Comply with all machine instructions and ensure proper use of equipment and assets
Comply with all process work instructions, control plans, maintenance and safety schedules
Read, understand & interpret Engineering drawings correctly
Act in accordance with the Company’s Code of Conduct and Guiding Principles
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience required Work Experience
No min required 0 - 2 years of relevant work experience required Prior manufacturing experience in an industrial setting (pharmaceutical industry experience preferred) required Experience with using SolidWorks and AutoCAD required Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required:
o Experience in setting & operation of CNC equipment
o Familiarity and experience in on-machine programming
o Familiarity and experience of use of measuring equipment
o Familiarity and experience of interpreting Engineering drawings
o Familiarity and experience of modern cutting tools and techniques
o Experience and conversant PC user
Desirable:
o Experience in Fanuc machine tool controls
o Experience in multi-axis machine tools
o Experience in elastomer mould, plastic mould and press-tool manufacture
o Experience in conventional toolroom machinery (mills, lathes, surface grinders)
o Knowledge of other toolroom machinery (cylindrical grinders, EDM, WEDM)
o Experience in automation processes & database managed machine tools
o Experience of “Lean Manufacturing” techniques
o Experienced in Offline programming & part verification
