    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>POSITION PURPOSE:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>The Director of Allied Health&nbsp;is responsible for&nbsp;the overall coordination, administration, and quality assurance of allied health programs—including but not limited to Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), Medication Aide, and Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA). This role oversees program development, instructor recruitment and support, compliance with regulatory standards, and engagement with business and industry partners to expand program offerings and increase student enrollment. The Director of Allied Health serves as a liaison between Navarro College and external stakeholders, ensuring programs meet the needs of the community and workforce.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Coordinate scheduling, marketing, recruitment, and logistical support for allied health courses, programs, workshops, and seminars, delivered in various formats (online, face-to-face, hybrid).&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Serve as the Program Director for the CNA program as defined by&nbsp;Texas&nbsp;Administrative Code and the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, including evaluation of student records for state certification eligibility.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Recruit,&nbsp;maintain, and support&nbsp;a staff&nbsp;of qualified instructors, ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Provide oversight of instructors through classroom and clinical observations, instructional guidance, and curriculum support.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Assist&nbsp;in curriculum development and evaluation to meet state,&nbsp;accrediting, and college guidelines.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Conduct needs assessments with business and industry partners to&nbsp;identify&nbsp;opportunities for customized training and professional development.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Represent Navarro College with economic development, workforce, and industry partners to promote programs and build relationships.</li>\n <li>Manage, generate and seek out additional clinical partnerships for student externships. &nbsp;</li>\n <li>Prepare and deliver presentations on allied health programs to stakeholders, students, and partners.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Monitor programs for compliance with standards, guidelines, and regulations of governing agencies (HHSC, THECB).&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ensure&nbsp;accurate&nbsp;maintenance of class and program files, grade entry, and distribution of certificates.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Communicate with students&nbsp;regarding&nbsp;program access, schedules, changes, and post-completion follow-up for employment tracking.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Manage and implement grant-funded programs, ensuring compliance with all requirements and deliverables as related to allied health area.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with other college departments for successful program implementation.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Advise the Dean of Workforce &amp; Career Pathways on program status, metrics, and regulatory changes.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Teach courses within allied health fields as needed, based on credentials and&nbsp;expertise.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of Workforce &amp; Career&nbsp;Pathways</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Commitment to the community college and student-centered philosophy.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Dedication to quality education and professional development.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to&nbsp;represent&nbsp;the college professionally and&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;relationships with key stakeholders.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Innovative and enthusiastic approach to achieving goals.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Skills&nbsp;in strategic planning, program evaluation, curriculum development, and project management.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to create and implement marketing plans, conduct outreach, and recruit students.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Attention to detail and the ability to interpret regulations and legal documents.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Strong computer skills, including&nbsp;proficiency&nbsp;with word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Experience in monitoring and evaluating staff, solving problems, mediating conflicts, and developing solutions.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Background in healthcare sufficient to teach allied health&nbsp;programs</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<p>Required</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate Degree in Nursing.</li>\n <li>Must be a Registered Nurse in Texas for CNA program oversight.</li>\n <li>One year of experience providing long-term care services in a facility.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree</li>\n <li>Experience teaching in allied health programs.</li>\n <li>Minimum of five years of nursing experience.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Two years of experience teaching adult students OR supervising nurse aides.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Three years experience working in long-term care services in a facility.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to fulfill responsibilities.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Travel between campuses and clinical sites&nbsp;is required.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Busy environment with frequent interruptions.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Primary office location on Waxahachie campus, with district-wide responsibilities.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Variances from regular working hours may be&nbsp;necessary.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>SALARY:</strong> &nbsp;Commensurate with Education &amp;
