As NASA’s largest engineering solutions provider working together with NASA at centers across the United States.</p>\n<p>We have an exciting opportunity for a<strong> Project Engineer</strong> to join the team with Barrios, a teammate company!</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The <strong>Project Engineer</strong> will:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Developing project documentation and maintaining status of drawings, and procurements.</li>\n <li>Working with the systems engineering team to ensure the test strategy will provide sufficient information on the system performance and capabilities</li>\n <li>Inspection of hardware upon receipt to verify match with fabrication drawing/models</li>\n <li>Test rig and equipment buildup as needed</li>\n <li>Perform all system testing</li>\n <li>Develop test plan and test reports</li>\n <li>Schedule testing with test facilities</li>\n <li>Work with the systems engineering team to develop a test schedule</li>\n <li>Work with procurement personnel and vendors to order and secure procurements</li>\n <li>Data analysis of test results</li>\n <li>Assist project management with configuration control of project documentation</li>\n <li>Development of test procedures including working with various organizations across JSC for flight certification of hardware.</li>\n <li>Working with the community, specifically the HLS program and the HLS provider, to develop integrated operation conops</li>\n <li>Develop presentations.</li>\n <li>Develop logistics, manufacturing and procurement plan</li>\n <li>Work in a team environment and report to the project manager and the lead systems engineer to provide status on progress and issues and for support.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Education/Experience/Skills:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in engineering, plus two (2) year of experience in the field or in a related area.</li>\n <li>Experience with the development of project planning documents</li>\n <li>Experience with the design, assembly, verification, testing, and operation of space hardware systems</li>\n <li>Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the space hardware field, such as mechanical and electrical system design, engineering drawings and sketches, material selection, and design software and tools</li>\n <li>Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings</li>\n <li>Familiarity with Microsoft Office products</li>\n <li>Experience with cost and budget analysis</li>\n <li>Experience working in an integrated product team</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferences:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Familiar with Johnson Space Center (JSC) organizations, processes, and procedures</li>\n <li>Prior experience working in a system development project/program</li>\n <li>Familiarity with feasibility assessments and trade studies</li>\n <li>Understanding of the Moon2Mars mission and concept of operations</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Requirements </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.</li>\n <li>Applicant selected may be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.</li>\n <li>Work may involve sitting for extended periods.</li>\n <li>May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.</li>\n <li>Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary.</li>\n <li>Generally, an office environment but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.</li>\n <li>Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.)</li>\n <li>Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.</li>\n <li>Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.</li>\n <li>Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.</li>\n <li>Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.</li>\n <li>Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.</li>\n <li>This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <strong><em>Don’t miss out on this great opportunity; for immediate consideration, apply now!</em></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Barrios Technology is a drug-free workplace, which is imperative to the health and safety of all employees and is required as a condition of receiving contracts from federal agencies.
