    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>This position assists in performing maintenance and repair to the college facilities as well as managing and supervising cleaning staff.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Duties include, but not limited to the following:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist Building Manager in scheduling custodial tasks in accordance with the daily, weekly and monthly frequency defined by the facilities department.</li>\n <li>Assists the Building Manager in coordinating security coverage at the site with the Director of Security.</li>\n <li>Ensures that arrangements are carried out for scheduled events.</li>\n <li>Makes periodic inspections of the building to identify repair and maintenance work required including carpentry, electrical work, painting, plastering and plumbing.</li>\n <li>Ensures that all regular life safety testing is undertaken and logs are maintained at the site, including fire drills, fire alarm testing, sprinkler system and fire extinguishers.</li>\n <li>Responds to work orders submitted by faculty and college staff and ensures timely completion.</li>\n <li>Supervises and directs building staff with the Building Manager.</li>\n <li>Repairs and replaces window units and glass.</li>\n <li>Repairs and replaces doors, locksets, hinges, and door closers.</li>\n <li>Repairs existing flooring (ceramic, quarry, and vat tiles).</li>\n <li>Replaces ceiling tiles.</li>\n <li>Layout and installs new ceilings including grid track.</li>\n <li>Layout and installs new walls including taping and spackle.</li>\n <li>Replaces sinks, toilets and urinals, and hose bibs.</li>\n <li>Repairs leaking water connections.</li>\n <li>Repairs / replace leaking heating pipes and fittings Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager or Director of the department</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<h4>Education/Experience</h4>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma/GED Eqvlnt preferred</li>\n <li>At least 1-2 years experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Requires regular, reliable and predictable work attendance</li>\n <li>Ability to operate custodial and maintenance equipment</li>\n <li>Good knowledge of proper chemical storage, use and inventory</li>\n <li>Skill in maintenance tools and materials</li>\n</ul>\n<h4>Working Conditions</h4>\n<ul>\n <li>Extensive time sitting and standing</li>\n <li>Able to climb stairs, ladders and scaffolds, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, and kneel</li>\n <li>Ability to lift 25-40 pounds</li>\n <li>Must wear a uniform</li>\n <li>Exposure to chemical cleaners and pesticides</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Maximum Salary</h2>USD $39,396.00/Yr.\n<h2>Minimum Salary</h2>USD $34,320.00/Yr.",
