The Welder/Fabricator will be responsible for checking the welded materials for dimension and thickness and producing quality work. The Welder/Fabricator will work out of the Engineering and Fabrication Shop or at construction job sites. Occasional travel may be required. The Welder will report to the Shop Manager.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Job Skills:</span></span><br>• Ability to read and understand blueprints.<br>• Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.<br>• Good verbal communication skills.<br>• Desire to see others succeed by mentoring and sharing knowledge with others.<br>• Ability to focus on details while still maintaining a large picture perspective.<br>• Ability to develop and work as member of a team.<br>• Ability to read and understand construction specifications and detailed drawings.<br>• Ability to develop and follow construction schedules.<br>• Proven experience as a welder, with expertise in various welding techniques and processes.<br><br><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Mandatory Hiring Requirements:</span></span><br>References, Background Check, Drug Screen Testing, Valid Driver’s License.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities:</span></span><br>• Ability to use gas metal arc welding (GMAW), to manufacture items and components.<br>• Cutting materials into the required shapes, checking dimensions and thicknesses.<br>• Welding or joining metal and other materials into a wide range of structures.<br>• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.<br>• Understanding safety procedures and regulations related to welding operations.<br>• Use metal shear and break tables to perform work.<br>• Using computer programs to design structures.<br>• Work closely with other team members, such as fabricators, engineers, and supervisors, to plan and execute welding projects efficiently and effectively.<br>• Maintain accurate records of welding activities, including materials used, welding parameters, and inspection results.<br>• Supervise and provide guidance to Welder/Fabricator I and II, including training and mentoring.<br>• Coordinate with project managers and other team members to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.<br>• Operating tools and machinery and welding equipment.<br>• Inspecting and testing welds with precision measuring instruments.<br>• Dismantling metal structures.<br>• Wearing safety clothing and using protective equipment.<br>• Able to work in a shop setting or job site.<br>• Assures proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment, tools, and housekeeping.<br>• Performs other duties as assigned.<br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Requirements:</span></span><br>• License: Valid state driver's license as required by job conditions or by the company.<br>• Certification: None required.<br>• Education: High School Graduate or GED.<br>• Experience: 2 years’ experience welding and experience with CNC plasma table and waterjet table preferred.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Working Conditions:</span></span><br>• Works in a warehouse setting with varying degrees of stress and time pressure.<br>• Works in a warehouse setting with varying temperatures and humidity.<br>• Wear personal protective equipment as required.<br>• Able to work 40 hours per week plus overtime as required.<br>• Travel may be required to job sites.<br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Physical/Mental Functions:</span></span><br>• Positively identify colors of wire and other items as required.<br>• Comprehend and practice safe work procedures as outlined in Safety Handbook.<br>• Operate company truck with manual and automatic transmission.<br>• Read and interpret schematics, drawings, maps, manuals, work site directions, and written instructions.<br>• Must hear and see well (either natural or with correction).<br>• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overhead.<br>• Able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.<br>• Tolerant to prolonged standing and movement on foot.<br>• Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.<br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">AAP/EEO Statement:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Ace Electric, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identification, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other category protected by federal, state, or local law.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>",
