Description

POSITION: Line Inspector – Processing SAFETY DUTIES: Always use the appropriate personal protective equipment, such as earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, and lab coat. Keep hands away from moving machine parts to avoid injuries. Apply safe lifting techniques to prevent accidents. Keep the work area clean and organized at all times. Report any accidents, defective equipment, or unsafe areas to the line leader or supervisor immediately. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CHICKEN BREAST INSPECTOR: Inspect raw chicken breasts upon receipt for any foreign material, such as bones, cartilage, skin, or unwanted debris. Visually assess the quality of the meat, ensuring there are no defects that could affect the final product quality. Responsible for ensuring the correct production according to cuts, weight and customer quality expectations. Support and assist in maintaining and improving the implementation, enhancement, and compliance with all programs and procedures related to BRC. SPECIFIC DUTIES: Clock in at the time clock. Pick up materials from the supply room. Put on the appropriate personal protective equipment, such as earplugs, safety glasses, smock. Wash hands properly before wearing gloves on both hands to begin working in the production area. Follow the instructions of the line leader or supervisor. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The employee will be standing 100% of the time. Reaching, bending, and twisting 50% of the time. Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment at all times. ENVIRONMENT: Poultry processors work in cold, damp conditions (40 ° to 55 ° degrees) to prevent the meat from spoiling. The work area surface is wet and slippery 100% of the time. Because processors work with knives and sharp machinery, there is a risk of accidental injuries, ranging from minor cuts to finger or limb amputations. EDUCATION: Minimum education required. Must be able to understand basic instructions from the lead/supervisor. Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment at all times.
