The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and on-premises database environments. You will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, security, and integrity of databases across both cloud and on-prem platforms.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">JOB RESPONSIBILITIES</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle and other relational databases across on-premises and OCI environments</li>\n<li>Perform database installations, configurations, upgrades, and migrations</li>\n<li>Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup/restore procedures are in place and tested</li>\n<li>Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and query analysis</li>\n<li>Manage user access, roles, and database security in line with client standards</li>\n<li>Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams on database-related projects</li>\n<li>Troubleshoot and resolve database incidents in a timely manner</li>\n<li>Document database configurations, procedures, and changes.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">QUALIFICATIONS</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven experience as a DBA managing production databases</li>\n<li>Strong expertise in Oracle Database administration (on-premises)</li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) — including OCI Database Services, Autonomous Database, or similar</li>\n<li>Experience with backup and recovery tools (RMAN, Data Guard, or equivalent)</li>\n<li>Solid understanding of database security, user management, and access controls</li>\n<li>Experience with performance monitoring and tuning</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with an Australian-based client</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Nice to Have:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with other RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)</li>\n<li>OCI certification or equivalent cloud database credentials</li>\n<li>Experience supporting AU-based clients or working in AU time zones</li>\n</ul>",
