ChenMoore is hiring a Highway Engineer to work on Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and Municipal highway / roadway improvement projects. Candidates should be able to efficiently plan and organize his or her workload with their team, demonstrate success working with a team of professionals, a commitment to quality, good communication skills, and a positive work ethic. Responsibilities: Serve as the Project Manager on a variety of projects for the design of highways, roads, and intersections for FDOT and local municipalities. Serve in a technical role from time to time. Potentially serve as the Engineer of Record for projects. Mentor junior engineers and designers. Responsible for growing and cultivating business in Southeast Florida, with a primary focus on FDOT District 4. Responsible for the financial and schedule performance of assigned projects. Qualifications: BS in Civil Engineering Required, focus on transportation/highways preferred. Professional Engineer required, registered and experience in Florida preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience with designing highways. FDOT and/or Southeast Florida municipal client experience is a plus. Experience working in the capacity of the project manager for projects preferred. MicroStation OpenRoads experience preferred. Ability to handle concurrent projects.
