Our North America Chemical Solutions and Monitoring (CSM) Supply Chain group has ~300 team members across 9 sites (Beaumont, TX, Orange, TX, New Philadelphia, OH, Addison, IL, Bakersfield, CA, Trevose, PA, Macon, GA, Edmonton, Canada, and Oakville, Canada). We are seeking a dedicated professional to improve our planning practices to increase our order fulfillment to customers. POSITION SUMMARY In this role, you are responsible for our sales & operations execution across all CSM sites globally. This includes, but is not limited to: executing the material strategy, fulfillment and control, as well as production planning. You will work with each site globally to standardize and optimize as much as possible our practices, processes, tools, metrics, and targets, and will create a community of planners across the global CSM sites. In this role, you are also responsible for implementing Kinaxis at the sites within the first 12-24 months of your job, in collaboration with the S&OP and Continuous Improvement teams. You will work in close collaboration with our S&OP and Procurement teams to reach our goals globally. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Material Planning: Inventory strategy: Execute the Cycle Stock and Strategic Stock (Commercial) for Raw Materials (RM) & Finished Goods (FG) in accordance with inventory strategy approved on Plan Consensus Review led by the S&OP team. Define and upload in SAP the Strategic Stock (Strikes, Supplier issues) for RM & FG in accordance with inventory strategy and Delegation of Authority (DoA). Changes in SAP for the Safety Stock for RM & FG in accordance with inventory strategy and DoA. Execute consensus plan to meet service levels targets, safety stock and inventory levels of RM & FG. Create and maintain accurate supply plans, balancing inventory levels with production and sales needs. Determine MRP MOQ / EOQ for Buy Materials in collaboration with Procurement. Supervise and ensure the redefinition of important parameters related to materials planning in the ERP system, including: Total replenishment time, planned delivery time, minimum lot size, minimum order quantity, among others working in collaboration with a multifunctional team. Excess and obsolete inventory: Analyze the excess and obsolete inventory operational position (e.g. SMNM) defining the action plan for RM & FG. Execute the action plan for excess and obsolete inventory operational position (e.g. SMNM) defining the action plan for RM & FG. Work with the sites, Finance and S&OP teams to reduce slow-moving non-moving inventory reserves by conducting thorough RCA and determining improvement actions. Inventory accuracy: Develop robust processes for the sites to follow on cycle counts and accuracy. Analyze inventory discrepancies via thorough RCA and determine improvement actions. Collaborate with Finance on the sites’ annual physical counts. Materials fulfillment: Ensure materials fulfillment, working with the procurement team and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries of products and aligning material availability with production schedules and plans. Investigate, together with the Purchasing team, atypical situations in the supply chain to define the need to anticipate or postpone orders based on market fluctuations to avoid the risk of production interruptions. Develop strategies, together with the Purchasing team, for materials with exclusive suppliers (Sole Sourcing) in order to guarantee the continuity of the supply of raw materials and finished products. Manage the health of the supply chain together with the Purchasing team to anticipate possible failures in the supply chain of materials. Ensure that the areas involved fill in the updated delivery dates of supplier orders in the ERP system based on prioritization, delays or advances, allowing visibility of the different sectors of the company regarding the delivery updates. Lead processes and projects to improve materials planning to optimize logistics costs and total inventory value for the execution of the strategic plan. Production Planning: Establish each SKU’s production strategy between Make to Stock and Make to Order, leveraging demand data from the S&OP team. Help the sites increase their batch sizes and reduce their cycle times. Collaborate with S&OP and Product Management teams to determine where to manufacture which SKUs. Develop production and distribution plans aligned with sales targets and desired service levels. Improve the sites processes on below tasks: Establish production schedules Release and distribute production orders Maintain WIP and FG stocks to appropriate levels Manage routings and Bills of Material within ERP/MES systems Others: Manage and report inventory levels vs targets, to determine improvement actions. Escalate as required. Responsible for Fulfillment KPIs (PR to PO time, Confirmed POs, Late POs, vendor OTC/OTD, inventory level vs. target, customer orders OTC/OTD, etc). Provide regular reports to stakeholders, with improvement actions. Escalate as required. Address supply chain challenges, including material shortages, production delays, and supplier issues. Develop contingency plans and implement corrective actions to ensure uninterrupted supply, proactively managing risks to minimize their impact on production and customer satisfaction. Identify opportunities to enhance existing planning. Assist with the development, documentation, and implementation of new processes and tools aimed at improving customer service, streamlining workflows, improving accuracy, and reducing costs and lead times. Implement Kinaxis at the sites within the first 12-24 months of your job. Develop production plans for new production introductions (NPI) through end of life (EOL) that balance supply and demand. Train the local teams on all planning and fulfillment related topics. At least 7 years of working experience in a relevant field (i.e. planning, inventory control, logistics, procurement, manufacturing/operations).
