This role would be for a 6-12 month engagement.&nbsp; Schedule would be M-F 8am – 4:30pm MST.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Oversee daily coding operations for:<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li>Inpatient (IP)</li><li>Observation</li><li>Day Surgery</li><li>Emergency Department (ED)</li></ul></li><li>Provide leadership, guidance, and performance oversight to coding teams across all facility settings</li><li>Act as a <strong>subject matter expert (SME)</strong> for facility coding, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulatory requirements</li><li>Perform <strong>coding audits and quality reviews</strong> to maintain accuracy and productivity standards</li><li>Support coders with <strong>complex coding scenarios, escalations, and education</strong></li><li>Monitor and improve coding quality, turnaround times, and operational efficiency</li><li>Collaborate with internal stakeholders on process improvements and coding compliance initiatives</li><li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, payer requirements, and regulatory changes</li></ul><hr><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Minimum <strong>5+ years of leadership experience</strong> in <strong>facility coding operations</strong></li><li>Extensive expertise in:<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li><strong>Inpatient coding</strong></li><li><strong>Outpatient facility coding</strong> (ED, observation, ambulatory/day surgery)</li></ul></li><li>Proven ability to function in a <strong>working manager capacity</strong>, including hands-on coding, auditing, and staff support</li><li>Strong knowledge of <strong>ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT/HCPCS</strong>, and official coding guidelines</li><li>Demonstrated experience with <strong>coding quality reviews, audits, and team performance management</strong></li><li>Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills</li></ul><hr><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Relevant coding certifications (e.g., <strong>RHIA, RHIT, CCS</strong>)</li><li>Prior experience in <strong>interim or consulting roles</strong></li><li>Experience managing <strong>remote coding teams</strong></li></ul><hr><p><strong>Work Schedule &amp; Engagement Details</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><strong>Duration:</strong> 6–12 months (interim assignment)</li><li><strong>Schedule:</strong> Monday through Friday, <strong>8:00 AM – 4:30 PM MST</strong></li><li><strong>Work Location:</strong> 100% Remote (no onsite requirements)</li></ul>",
