This position performs routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, repairs, and housekeeping support duties to ensure guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and hotel grounds are maintained in accordance with brand standards and company expectations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, guest-focused, and able to work independently while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.</p><p><strong>Essential Job Functions:</strong></p><h3>Maintenance Responsibilities</h3><ul data-spread=\"false\"><li>Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and other building systems.</li><li>Respond promptly to guest service requests and maintenance concerns.</li><li>Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, hotel grounds, and equipment.</li><li>Assist with preventative maintenance programs and maintain accurate records.</li><li>Repair and program electronic door lock systems as needed.</li><li>Assist with renovations, special projects, and capital improvement initiatives.</li><li>Ensure all emergency and life safety systems are maintained and functioning properly.</li><li>Support energy conservation and sustainability efforts.</li><li>Maintain compliance with all local, state, federal, and company safety regulations.</li><li>Coordinate with vendors and contractors when necessary.</li><li>Perform general painting, carpentry, drywall, and basic repair work.</li></ul><h3>Houseperson Responsibilities</h3><ul data-spread=\"false\"><li>Clean and maintain hotel public areas, including hallways, elevators, stairwells, service areas, lobby spaces, and exterior entrances.</li><li>Remove trash, soiled linens, and debris from guest floors and service areas.</li><li>Assist housekeeping staff with supplies, rollaway beds, cribs, bed boards, and other operational needs.</li><li>Deliver guest requests promptly and courteously.</li><li>Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, lost and found items, and damaged property.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage rooms, housekeeping closets, and maintenance areas.</li><li>Assist with meeting room setups and hotel events as needed.</li><li>Ensure all public areas remain guest-ready throughout the shift.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul data-spread=\"false\"><li>High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.</li><li>Hotel maintenance or hospitality experience preferred but not required.</li><li>Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems.</li><li>Prior housekeeping or houseperson experience preferred.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and vendors.</li><li>Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul data-spread=\"false\"><li>Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and lift throughout the shift.</li><li>Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.</li><li>Ability to safely use maintenance tools, equipment, and cleaning chemicals.</li><li>Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as business demands require.</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul data-spread=\"false\"><li>Deliver exceptional guest service and uphold brand standards at all times.</li><li>Follow all company safety, security, and operational policies and procedures.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by management.</li></ul></div>\n",
