Job Summary As a Welder II this position is responsible for performing intermediate welding tasks with greater independence, focusing on the fabrication and repair of aluminum components. This position requires experience with MIG and TIG welding processes, along with the ability to interpret blueprints and welding symbols accurately. The Welder II works under minimal supervision to meet quality and production standards and may assist in training entry-level welders. Essential Job Functions · Is able to perform all essential job functions as a Welder I. · Performs intermediate MIG and TIG welding on aluminum components, meeting production specifications and quality standards. · Can use various items and equipment using cutting, saws, grinders, hand tools with minimal guidance. · Inspect completed welds for strength, accuracy, and appearance, identifying and correcting defects when necessary. · Set up and adjust welding equipment to appropriate settings for different tasks. · Identifies areas for process improvement and assist in maintaining workflow efficiency. · Provides guidance to Welder I and assist in their training and development · Able to work on more than one weld team. · Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area. · Follow company safety protocols and maintain equipment in good working order · Performs other duties as assigned.
