The ideal candidate will work directly under the supervision of the Practice Leader and focus on leading the Madison Office; assist in growing the Infrastructure Practice; and delivering statewide transportation projects for a wide variety of clients including WisDOT, Counties, and Municipalities.</p><p><strong>Your Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Engage, mentor, and motivate junior staff through counsel, goal setting guidance, and knowledge transfer</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Coordinate staff required for internal project teams, including directing, coordinating and reviewing work by others</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Develop and maintain internal and external client relationships for both new and existing clients</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Work with other senior staff within Infrastructure &amp; Transportation and other practices groups, as necessary, to execute project delivery</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Act as EXP’s representative with the client and selected subcontractors during project execution</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Lead the preparation of proposals and presentations for project pursuits</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Manage a wide variety and complexity of highway related projects</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Maintain project schedules and manage project financials including profit/loss responsibility and targeted direct margin</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Perform design computations, oversee report, plan and specification development and sign and seal construction documents as necessary</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">Oversee and approve invoicing/billing, manage project scope, and secure change orders as necessary</p></li></ul><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p><strong>The Skills and Knowledge You Bring</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;\">BS in Civil Engineering from an Accredited University</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;\">20+ years of progressively responsible relevant experience</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;\">Licensed PE in the State of Wisconsin; the ability to obtain licensure in other states is desired</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;\">Knowledge of work related to delivering transportation projects in Wisconsin</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;\">Strong leadership and project management skills and the ability to work in a team environment</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;\">Demonstrated ability to manage and lead diverse project teams with a strong track record of project delivery from both a technical and financial perspective</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;\">Experience in planning, design, environmental and design report preparation, public involvement, and WisDOT project delivery</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;\">A proven track record of innovation, leadership, and quality assurance</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;\">Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;\">Excellent organizational skills and ability to direct and supervise staff engineers and technicians</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;\">Ability to mentor engineering staff and provide quality oversight of technical documents</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;\">Industry participation in professional societies preferred</p></li></ul>",
