You can be a part of an exciting and diverse group of professionals that are committed to being the best at what they do. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Step into Your New Role</strong></p>\n<p><strong>We are looking for a Station Engineer to join Kleinfelder with flexibility to be aligned to our Columbus, OH office (Hybrid).</strong> The Station Engineer develops broad knowledge and skills in various station and facility projects, independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform a task or sequence of tasks for conventional projects with few complex features. The Station Engineer collaboratively uses judgment to determine adaptations in methods for non-routine aspects of assignments and may be required to perform activities such as station and plant design, collaborate closely with clients on project execution, cost estimating, field measurements, field testing, preparation and correction of field drawings, ordering material, initiation of permits, preparing operating and maintenance instructions, data analysis, compilation and reporting of technical data, construction support, subcontractor management and performance of other related duties.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>As a Station Engineer, you will be expected to:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepare designs, calculations, drawings, layouts, and studies from field inspections, preliminary sketches, specifications, and instructions requiring knowledge of engineering practices and shop and field procedures</li>\n <li>Review designs and documentation to ensure compliance with codes, standards and design criteria</li>\n <li>Acquire and analyze data using appropriate standard quantitative methods</li>\n <li>Field visits to facilities to obtain on-site information applicable to scope</li>\n <li>Perform gas system network and hydraulic analysis</li>\n <li>Understand and utilize station maintenance practices</li>\n <li>Understand gas metering, regulation and SCADA</li>\n <li>Prepare construction specification and bid package</li>\n <li>Utilize calculators and software to size equipment based on flow parameters</li>\n <li>Perform station design and material selection</li>\n <li>Create feasibility studies</li>\n <li>Develop status reports with task completion, progress, challenges, and solutions</li>\n <li>Oversee field testing of newly installed facilities</li>\n <li>Utilize modeling software for Pipe Stress Analysis assessment and generate report</li>\n <li>Work closely with other workgroups at our clients' place of business and KLF offices</li>\n <li>Facilitate design review meetings with key stakeholders</li>\n <li>Coordinate various inspection and testing methods, gather data, analyze, and report findings</li>\n <li>Demonstrate sound engineering judgment</li>\n <li>Assign tasks to and coordinate with drafting and administrative staff</li>\n <li>Assign tasks to and coordinate work of Associate Engineers and technicians or administrative staff within team</li>\n <li>Provide guidance, instruction, and coaching to entry-level and other Engineers on team</li>\n <li>Assist in determining schedule & budget requirements</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Consideration for a Station Engineer position requires the following certifications or experience:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or related Engineering degree)</li>\n <li>3-6 years relevant experience</li>\n <li>Technical communication</li>\n <li>Proficient use of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint</li>\n <li>Utility business understanding (Desired)</li>\n <li>Valid Driver's license</li>\n <li>Perform and manage moderate design tasks</li>\n <li>Prepare portions of project documents</li>\n <li>Perform research and investigations</li>\n <li>Project Management: Manage multiple projects, prioritization, time management and delegating work to team members</li>\n <li>Evaluate methodologies, best practice, tools, processes, procedures and technology; assessing potential fit, benefit, and impact for engineering work</li>\n <li>Suggest improvements to process, and is a knowledge resource for other team members</li>\n <li>Engineer-In-Training Certification (Desired)</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of CAD and GIS software (Desired)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Move Forward with Kleinfelder:</strong> Kleinfelder and its’ subsidiaries and affiliates, has been connecting great people to the best work since 1961.
