    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Intermediate Cardiac Care Unit to join the team. Inova Fairfax Medical Center Cardiac, Vascular and Pulmonary Care Program is a 48 bed unit specializing in all cardiac care patients. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Featured Benefits:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Retirement:&nbsp;</strong>Inova matches the first 5% of eligible contributions – starting on your first day.</li>\n <li><strong>Mental Health Support:&nbsp;</strong>offering all Inova team members, their spouses/partners, and their children 25 mental health coaching or therapy sessions, per person, per year, at no cost.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Registered Nurse (RN) – Intermediate Cardiac Care &nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple data sets and synthesizing their relationships.</li>\n <li>Formulates individualized plans of care based on assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice.</li>\n <li>Conducts all patient care in a patient and family centered manner, integrating knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.</li>\n <li>Advocates for patients' rights from the patient and family perspective and provides counsel while acting as a resource to resolve issues.</li>\n <li>Accesses resources from all disciplines to achieve desired patient outcomes and coordinates healthcare and alternate services for patient/family transition planning.</li>\n <li>Documents all patient care activities, as per documentation standards, and assists healthcare team members with documentation.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Evaluates the process to achieve outcomes, anticipates patient variances and makes revisions to plans of care.</li>\n <li>Makes clinical decisions based on experience, patient population data and intuition while promoting the development of clinical decision making of all team members.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Education:&nbsp;</strong>BSN or AD. If RN has an AD, within 2 years from date of hire, they must meet with their nurse leader and conduct the following: 1.) Identify which accredited school they plan to attend 2.) Provide a written plan with anticipated BSN completion date 3.) Submit a review of transcripts from the school indicating the required pre-requisites and timeline for taking the courses 4.) Complete BSN within 5 years of start date</li>\n <li><strong>Experience</strong>: 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, for Critical Care units, 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting or completion of a critical care fellowship.</li>\n <li><strong>Certification:&nbsp;</strong>BLS &amp; ACLS from American Heart Association; Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Experience:&nbsp;</strong>Telemetry, med/surg; if outpatient – must have cardiac experience; if inpatient - must have a strong foundation.</li>\n <li><strong>Other</strong>: Must be open to feedback/learning, has a positive mindset, strong bedside manner, strong emotional intelligence/people connection, &amp; strong conversational skills.</li>\n</ul>",
