The role focuses on enhancing students’ language development through structured support, interactive activities, and guided practice.  <br><br>The <strong>Learning Mentor</strong> assists in developing students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills while fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment both in and outside of the classroom. </p><p></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities: </strong></p><ul><li><p>Deliver English language lessons according to the programme curriculum. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Prepare lessons that encourage student participation and communication. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Manage classroom behaviour in a professional manner. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Maintain accurate academic records and complete required administrative tasks. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Participate in academic meetings, workshops, and mentor briefings. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Monitor student welfare and report any concerns to academic management. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Support the planning and delivery of daily activity programmes, including sports, cultural activities, and excursions.  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Supervise groups of students during on-site activities and off-site visits.  </p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Accommodation and Benefits </strong></p><ul><li><p>Residential accommodation and meals provided during employment. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Pre-employment training and ongoing staff support. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Organisational Compliance</strong></p><p>The job holder will be expected to operate in accordance with the company’s Code of Conduct, and any local policies and operating procedures relating to academic, welfare and safeguarding matters. </p><p>Employees are required to cooperate fully with all arrangements in place related to Health and Safety which include implementation and compliance with control measures resultant from risk assessments and engagement with, and completion of, any relevant Health and Safety training. </p><p></p><p><strong>Education Required: </strong></p><ul><li><p>CELTA, Trinity ESOL or TEFL Course (min 120 hours input) </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Educated to Degree Level or equivalent (Level 6 Qualifications and Credit Framework)   </p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Experience </strong></p><ul><li><p>Previous experience teaching English as a foreign language is preferred. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Experience teaching teenagers or young learners is an advantage. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Skills </strong></p><ul><li><p>Strong classroom management skills. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Excellent communication and organisational skills. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Ability to create engaging learning activities. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Working week: </strong></p><ul><li><p>6 days out of 7 (1 day off per week) </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>40 hours per week  <br> </p></li></ul><p><strong>Remuneration: <br><br>Gross weekly pay</strong>: Up To -  <strong>£699.45 </strong><br>(Basic weekly pay <strong>£624.12 </strong>+ Holiday pay <strong>£75.33</strong>)<em> depending on qualifications</em></p><p><br><strong>Staff uniform: </strong></p><p>All staff are required to wear the designated company uniform while on duty.
