    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p data-pasted=\"true\">GA Foods is seeking to hire a Transfer Driver for our Augusta/Covington location. The Transfer Driver is responsible for safely transporting prepared meals, raw materials, equipment, and other goods between GA Foods facilities and customer locations as assigned. This role ensures all deliveries and pickups are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies. The Transfer Driver may also assist with loading and unloading, vehicle inspections, and documentation.</p><p>Responsibilities </p><ul><li>Operate Class B 26&#39; vehicles to transfer products between facilities across Florida</li><li>Load and unload vehicles using electric pallet jack and manually into freezers or warehouses</li><li>Work Monday through Friday; overtime and weekends may be required based on route assignment</li><li>Perform warehousing functions including product transfers to maintain accurate food supply inventory</li><li>Communicate delivery and inventory updates with Supervisor</li><li>Complete vehicle upkeep and maintenance including PMs and DVIR</li><li>Assist with packing, storing, and staging of food items or supplies as needed</li><li>Maintain required records and documentation accurately</li><li>Attend and successfully complete all required company training</li><li>Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul><p>Experience </p><ul><li>Valid Class B CDL License</li><li>No DUI in the last 5 years, 0&ndash;4 current points</li><li>Current DOT medical card or ability to pass DOT medical exam</li><li>Must successfully pass Level II background check, drug screening, and Clearinghouse verification</li><li>Prior route, delivery, or distribution experience required</li><li>Good planning skills and attention to detail</li><li>Basic computer skills to operate a tablet for route and vehicle documentation</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50lbsandoperatepallet jacks safely</li><li>Strong time management, communication, and customer service skills</li><li>Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices</li><li>1&ndash;2 years of professional driving experience</li></ul><p>Preferred Qualifications</p><p>Work Environment </p><ul><li>This role involves a mix of warehouse, kitchen, office, and driving responsibilities.</li><li>Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods while overseeing production, distribution, and loading activities.</li><li>Regularly required to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, often in fast-paced conditions.</li><li>Frequent bending, squatting, reaching, climbing, and stooping are necessary during food handling, equipment checks, and vehicle loading.</li><li>Will be responsible for driving delivery routes as needed; requires sitting for prolonged periods, operating a vehicle safely, and complying with DOT standards.</li><li><span data-contrast=\"auto\" lang=\"EN-US\" class=\"TextRun SCXW144192943 BCX0\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW144192943 BCX0\">Daily use of computers and office equipment to enter data, prepare reports, send emails, and manage schedules.</span></span></li><li>Work takes place in a variety of environments, including temperature-controlled kitchens, warehouse spaces, delivery vehicles, and standard office settings.</li><li>Exposure to varying temperatures (cold storage, loading docks, outdoor conditions) is expected.</li><li>Position requires the ability to balance hands-on physical tasks with administrative and supervisory duties.</li><li>This position follows a standard weekly schedule, however, weekend work may be required based on business needs.</li></ul><p>Employment for this position is contingent upon successful completion of a background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.&nbsp;Additional&nbsp;information&nbsp;regarding&nbsp;this process is available at <a href=\"https://info.flclearinghouse.com/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https://info.flclearinghouse.com</a>.</p><p>Equal Opportunity Statement </p><p> At GA Foods, we are deeply committed to the principles of equal employment opportunity.
