    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><p><strong>We have positions available in our Core Product and New Product/New Market departments!</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>**must be proficient in Solidworks**</strong></p><p><br></p><p>TITLE: &nbsp;Design Engineer &nbsp;</p><p>DEPARTMENT: &nbsp;Engineering &nbsp;</p><p>REPORTS TO: &nbsp;Engineering Manager &nbsp;</p><p>LOCATION: Viola</p><p>JOB SUMMARY: &nbsp;Responsible &nbsp;for &nbsp;carrying &nbsp;out &nbsp;duties &nbsp;that &nbsp;include &nbsp;design, &nbsp;research, &nbsp;prototyping, &nbsp;engineering &nbsp;documentation, &nbsp;estimating &nbsp;and &nbsp;process &nbsp;improvement. &nbsp;Work &nbsp;with &nbsp;engineers, &nbsp;technicians, &nbsp;purchasing, &nbsp;other &nbsp;personnel, &nbsp;and &nbsp;suppliers &nbsp;to &nbsp;meet &nbsp;project &nbsp;goals. Perform tasks as required to complete projects on time and under budget. &nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p><ul><li>Thoroughly understand and adhere to the department goals, objectives, and strategy</li><li>Establish and maintain credibility throughout the organization as an effective developer of solutions&nbsp;</li><li>Present and maintain positive morale amongst employees</li><li>Use specialized software to create models and drawing of products</li><li>Research new materials and methods of development</li><li>Organize and maintain existing engineering records</li><li>Construct prototypes and confirm designs with design/purchasing team</li><li>Perform physical testing on engineering prototypes</li><li>Ensure components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards</li><li>Establishes &nbsp;specifications, &nbsp;targets, &nbsp;and &nbsp;deliverables &nbsp;and &nbsp;maintains &nbsp;the &nbsp;product &nbsp;specifications &nbsp;from &nbsp;the &nbsp;reviews &nbsp;with all relevant parties (management, marketing, finance, engineering, manufacturing, quality, sales, etc.)</li><li>Plans &nbsp;and &nbsp;fabricates, &nbsp;or &nbsp;directs &nbsp;the &nbsp;construction &nbsp;of &nbsp;prototypes &nbsp;to &nbsp;meet &nbsp;customer &nbsp;and &nbsp;company &nbsp;regulatory &nbsp;requirements</li><li>Project &nbsp;planning &nbsp;including &nbsp;Work &nbsp;Breakdown &nbsp;Structure, &nbsp;NPV, &nbsp;and &nbsp;Statement &nbsp;of &nbsp;Requirements, &nbsp;budgets, &nbsp;and &nbsp;maintenance of all project documents in accordance with the Product Development Process</li><li>Leads project meetings, design reviews, and communicates results.
