This person will promote team building and camaraderie between team members, their parents and other team coaches. This person will also coach preschool, youth and pre-team classes.</p>\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n\n<p>&middot; -Related instruction, coaching or past competitive experience in gymnastics, tumbling, cheering and/or dance.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Instructor for preschool, youth, and pre-team classes.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Practical knowledge of progressive skill building as related directly to instructional gymnastics and working knowledge of USA gymnastics.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Possess strong leadership qualities and work as a team member.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; A passion for supporting positive youth development through gymnastics.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Applicants must be 15 years or older.</p>\n\n<p><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p>\n\n<p>&middot; Co-Plans and implements programs, leagues, camps, clinics and classes which may include but are not limited to preschool, school age and pre-team.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Works with coach to establish new program activities and expand programs in accordance with strategic and operating plans.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Ensures proper building coverage is present for all program-related functions in accordance with program needs.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Co-establishes new program activities and expands programs in accordance with strategic and operating plans.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Know and follow the USA Gymnastics policies and procedures, including proper spotting techniques.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Recognize individual differences and adjust teaching strategies as needed for the success of all gymnastics.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Enforce specific rules and regulations which limit risk to participants.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Follow emergency procedures and safety precautions including procedures for reporting all accidents, incidents and hazards.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Facilitate communication and provide leadership. Model relationship-building skills (including Listen First) in all interactions.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Ensures a positive working and program environment emphasizing the YMCA&rsquo;s areas of focus and character values.</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Supervise the development and recruitment of volunteer staff and interns</p>\n\n<p>&middot; Always follow and enforce safety guidelines, ensuring a safe environment, both physically and emotionally, for all participants and staff.
