    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>#LI-RT1</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>*This role is based in an Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care setting. </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Summary:  </strong></p>\n<p>The Community Therapy Lead (CTL) is responsible for managing and supervising the rehabilitation department to meet resident needs, the company’s fiscal requirements, and federal and state regulations in conjunction with the Senior Director of Rehab and/or Regional Director of Operations. The CTL will achieve specific Resident care, Team Member relations, customer service, and financial objectives through strong leadership and effective partnership with customers. Maintains professional conduct, including positive levels of interaction and rapport with communities and clients. Represents Reliant Rehabilitation commitment to quality and services in all interactions with communities and clients, as well as adheres to Reliant Rehabilitation’s Policies and Procedures </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for overall therapy, wellness, and fitness advocacy within the community. </li>\n <li>Advocate passionately through these services thus driving meaningful and measurable outcomes for the community. </li>\n <li>Assign Resident scheduling and other responsibilities to staff as needed. </li>\n <li>In conjunction with the Senior DOR and/or Regional Director of Operations, Manage, orient, train, evaluate, and counsel department and Team Members to improve their job performance and to maintain high standards of performance and patient quality care. </li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with Reliant Rehabilitation and community specific policies and procedures for the department. </li>\n <li>In conjunction with the Senior DOR and/or Regional Director of Operations, Ensure that therapists and therapy assistants are compliant with documentation in the medical record that: \n  <ul>\n   <li>is accurate and concise; </li>\n   <li>meets governmental and third-party payor requirements; </li>\n   <li>minimizes duplication; and reflects a clear picture of the resident’s status, the skilled intervention, and the resident’s outcomes. </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Communicate and coordinate department functions with other services in a constructive manner that promotes team rapport and effectiveness. </li>\n <li>Communicate effectively with community leadership team regarding department programs, goals, objectives, risks, and successes. </li>\n <li>Communicates effectively to the public (including medical personnel) within the community regarding the therapy services offered by Reliant Rehabilitation. </li>\n <li>Participate in resident care coordination, department head meetings, and community education and planning. </li>\n <li>Responsible for revenue and expense controls to meet budgetary requirements. </li>\n <li>Ensure timely and accurate billing of services provided and completion of required documentation and maintain quality of services. </li>\n <li>Enhance clinical expertise, professional and management skills through interaction with managers, therapists and other professional staff, self-study, and other continuing education activities. </li>\n <li>Maintain valid state license (where appropriate). Maintain awareness of issues related to the rehabilitation and senior living profession. </li>\n <li>Be compliant with infection control procedures and environmental safety protocol within a community. </li>\n <li>This position requires patient lifting using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a workday/shift. Must be capable of lifting thirty (30) pounds of dead weight alone. </li>\n <li>Maintain confidentiality of Living Rehab, community, and patient information. </li>\n <li>Must be able to travel between communities during scheduled hours as needed.</li>\n <li>Must be able to work varying hours and shifts. </li>\n <li>Must comply with the position description for the discipline of current license. </li>\n <li>Must conduct self in an ethical, legal and responsible manner at all times</li>\n <li>Attends all mandatory meetings, trainings, and assignments as delegated.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned</li>\n <li>Must adhere to the polices, principles, and guidance within the Employee Handbook and Code of Business Conduct.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Competency: (If providing direct patient care at any time, a Regional Director of Operations may complete the discipline specific competency checklist).</strong><strong>  </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong verbal & written communication skills</li>\n <li>Ability to build strong relationships with a diverse population</li>\n <li>Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend in English: instructions, correspondence, memos, and reports.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, productive work environment</li>\n <li>Ability to make independent decisions and problem solve as appropriate</li>\n <li>Ability to effectively manage and motivate the team</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education/Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must possess a degree in therapy from an accredited school; or</li>\n <li>Two (2) years of experience as a Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Speech-Language Pathologist Therapist is preferred.</li>\n <li>One (1) year of management experience is preferred</li>\n <li>Thorough knowledge of Medicare and third-party billing</li>\n <li>Thorough knowledge of state practice acts</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Computer Skills:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc)</li>\n <li>Bacic Internet navigation skills </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Certificates and Licenses:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must hold a current and active license as one of the following: Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapist Assistant, or Speech-Language Pathologist</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Supervises the work of others in the community to include, but not limited to: training, scheduling, coaching, resolving issues, maintaining personnel records, and assisting with discipline in partnership with the Sr. DOR/RDO. </li>\n</ul>",
