Description

Position Summary Air Refueling Operators (ARO’s) are aircrew members aboard Meta Strategic Mobility’s (MSM) tanker aircraft. Reasonable Accommodations Statement To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Essential Functions Statement: Pre-flight, through-flight, and post-flight inspections, checklists and documentation. Computing/loading weight and balance data. Loading/unloading personnel and cargo. Safely and effectively transferring fuel from MSM tanker aircraft (MPRS, BDA, Boom) to contracted receiver aircraft during flight. Operational checks of Air Refueling equipment (to include onboard camera/recording systems). Maintain Situational Awareness (SA) and use Crew Resource Management (CRM) throughout all phases of flight. Adhere to company Flight Operation Procedures (FOP’s), Ground Operation Procedures (GOP’s) and Safety Notices. Maintain all currencies, qualifications and advanced systems knowledge as related to the MSM KC-135 tanker fleet. Competency Statements Set a high standard for providing our customers with world-class air refueling. Must have the ability to travel. Required Education, Experience and Certificates Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: 10 years as a KC-135 Boom Operator 2000 total hours 200 IB-EB hours Computer Skills: Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite Programs Certificates: COVID-19 Vaccination Record Current AF2992 or civilian Flying Class 2 Physical Current US Passport Preferred Education, Experience and Certificates Current and qualified KC-135R IB/EB in the last 39 months Additional Eligibility Qualifications Must be able to accomplish any and all duties with little or no assistance. Must have good command of the English language; oral and written. Work Authorization/Security Clearance Employee must be a US citizen.
