We're looking for an experienced technical leader to drive innovation, mentor developers, and architect the next generation of our high-performance systems.</p>\n<p>If you thrive in an Agile environment and have a passion for performance-critical work (think algorithms, real-time data handling, and signal processing), this is your opportunity to make a massive impact.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You'll Be Doing:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the design, maintenance, and modernisation of our core software architecture alongside your peers and the Development Manager.</li>\n<li>Mentor and coach Software Development Engineers across teams, setting standards and evangelising best practices (including through our Community of Practice).</li>\n<li>Lead the full lifecycle of major \"epic\" work from feature design with the Product Owner to final implementation and deployment.</li>\n<li>Leverage your deep expertise in C# to tackle complex, performance-critical tasks like data acquisition and real-time data decoding.</li>\n<li>Benefit from dedicated \"blue sky\" time for professional development, technology investigations, and exploring new feature feasibility.</li>\n<li>Ensure all code meets the highest quality, company, and regulatory standards, actively engaging with the full SDLC (Code Review, Unit/Integration Testing, Root Cause Analysis).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What you’ll need:</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Expert C# Proficiency and demonstrable experience in performance-critical software.</li>\n<li>Extensive experience in software architecture design and maintenance.</li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with signal processing, data acquisition, or real-time systems.</li>\n<li>Proven coaching and technical leadership skills.</li>\n<li>Deep practical knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.</li>\n<li>Excellent technical communication skills you can lead workshops, share knowledge, and advocate for change.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Advantageous: Experience with UI frameworks (WPF, etc.), hardware interfacing/drivers, multi-threading, or deep product domain knowledge (electronics/test and measurement).<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">This role is hybrid, two days from home and three days onsite in the St Neots office, with flexibility as required for business needs. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What's in it for you?</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>At Pico Technology, we’re not just about creating world-class test &amp; measurement tools - we’re about creating an inspiring workplace where every team member can thrive.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>If you’re looking to escape the ordinary and take on a varied, rewarding role, this is your chance to join a company where your skills will make a real impact.</p>\n<p>Enjoy flexible holidays, a chance to relax at one of our three holiday homes, and be part of our annual Profit Related Pay (PRP) bonus!
