This role plays a critical part in ensuring a safe, compliant, and skilled operations environment.</p><p>The Training Specialist will serve as the subject matter expert for <strong>MSHA Parts 46 and/or 48</strong>, designing and facilitating training for employees, contractors, and site personnel on hazard recognition, emergency response, and safe mining practices.</p><p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p><strong>Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA)</strong></p><p>· Conduct new miner, annual refresher, and task-specific training in accordance with MSHA regulations.</p><p>· Develop engaging training materials, including presentations, manuals, assessments, and hands-on exercises.</p><p>· Maintain accurate training records, certificates, and documentation required by MSHA.</p><p>· Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust content to improve comprehension and retention.</p><p>· Stay current on MSHA regulatory updates, industry trends, and emerging safety practices.</p><p>· Perform site visits to assess hazards, observe work practices, and incorporate real-world examples into training.</p><p>· Collaborate with safety managers, supervisors, and leadership to identify training needs and compliance gaps.</p><p>· Support incident investigations by providing insight into training-related factors and corrective actions.</p><p>· Promote a strong safety culture through coaching, communication, and positive engagement.</p><p><strong>SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><p><strong>PRE-EMPLOYMENT:</strong></p><p>· Must successfully complete Atalco Gramercy’s required drug screening and physical examination.</p><p>· TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) required prior to offer acceptance; MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) training to be completed upon hire.</p><p><strong>ON THE JOB:</strong></p><p>· <strong>Computer:</strong> Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Internet Explorer, and other general-purpose and industry-specific software specifically Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Human Resources Integrated Systems (HRIS) such as Paylocity and EHS Insights.</p><p>· <strong>Organization:</strong> Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
