This rhythm gives you the tools, connection, and autonomy you need to make a real impact.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Blackhawk Network is seeking an accomplished Software Engineer to design, build, and scale high‑performance processing systems that power large‑volume business transactions across our global network. In this role, you will leverage modern Java technologies, sound architectural principles, and cloud-based platforms to develop reliable, secure, and scalable solutions that enable seamless interactions between Blackhawk and its partners.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>You will collaborate closely with architects, product managers, and operations teams to deliver solutions that meet business objectives, perform at enterprise scale, and are production-ready from day one. This is an opportunity to work on mission‑critical systems in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment where innovation, continuous learning, and the thoughtful use of AI‑driven tools are encouraged to drive measurable impact</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Location:  Coppell, TX. This is a hybrid role with an expectation to be in the office twice-a-week.</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Deliver high performance software solutions using software architecture patterns and best practices and aspect-oriented programming</li>\n <li>Work hand-in-hand with architects to build the right solution the first time</li>\n <li>Work closely with product teams to ensure solutions achieve the business vision and are delivered to market on schedule</li>\n <li>Work closely with operations and support staff to ensure successful production delivery and hand-off post-release</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Master/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline</li>\n <li>3+ years of software development experience with core Java and J2EE</li>\n <li>Java expert and practical experience with JDK 1.6 or above</li>\n <li>Spring and Struts frameworks and writing multithreaded applications</li>\n <li>RESTful architecture and REST Web Services implementation</li>\n <li>Database design with DB2 or Oracle or RDS and with good exposure to SQL</li>\n <li>Strong OO Design and development skills</li>\n <li>Good knowledge on AWS services</li>\n <li>Creative problem solver and excellent communicator</li>\n <li>Finance or payment industry experience a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>We seek candidates who not only demonstrate curiosity and adaptability in emerging technologies but have also successfully implemented and utilized AI tools to enhance their work, improve processes, or deliver measurable results.
