Come join Arcwood and be part of our legacy of environmental leadership!</p>\n<h2>Essential Functions & Responsibilities </h2>\n<p><strong>Supervisor, Dispatch - Transportation</strong><strong></strong>As a Supervisor, Dispatcher you will be responsible for receiving dispatch requests and partnering with relevant personnel to notify drivers of specific pickup or delivery dates/times for customer waste materials. This role will work collectively with drivers and other Arcwood team members to ensure customers are serviced on time. </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times</li>\n <li>Receives dispatch requests and partners with Dispatcher II or III to notify drivers of specific pickup or delivery dates and times for customer industrial waste materials; ensures customers are serviced on time </li>\n <li>Dispatches loads consistent with routing requests and according to Arcwood and DOT procedures </li>\n <li>Develops and maintains records of activities including tracking shipments, roll-off container inventory, and researching waste streams for special projects, quotes, and equipment utilization among other operations </li>\n <li>Generate weekly and monthly load reports and others as requested; interfaces with other Company operations by scheduling additional equipment or drivers as needed </li>\n <li>Assists in the coordination of transportation services for internal Coordinators to ensure customer needs are met</li>\n <li>Monitors loading, reloading and dispatching of special material not conforming to standard procedures </li>\n <li>Coordinates transportation activities between service centers to maximize Arcwood assets </li>\n <li>Maintains 24-hour availability to manage driver issues or equipment repair requests as needed, as well as manage accident minimization efforts </li>\n <li>Offers clear, legible communications via electronic, written or verbal methods </li>\n <li>Provides supervision to direct reports and maintains the ability to effectively manage issues that arise while team members are away from home or the terminal </li>\n <li>Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education </h2>- High-school diploma or equivalent (required) \n<h2>Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Previous dispatching experience (preferred)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits, Compensation & Workforce Diversity</h2>Arcwood offers stability you can count on and opportunities to grow.
