We are committed to providing best-in-class patient care, pioneering research and technology, and most importantly, rewarding and recognizing our employees!</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul> \n <li>Mentors, coaches, and develops team members to improve performance and enhance skills</li> \n <li>Participates in recruiting, hiring, and interviewing of all new counselors</li> \n <li>Maintains open daily communication with direct team members and team leads</li> \n <li>Manages budgetary responsibilities</li> \n <li>Demonstrates understanding of practice management policies and procedures</li> \n <li>Assists in streamlining processes and training</li> \n <li>Participates in group and one-on-one training for staff, managers, and clinicians</li> \n <li>Trains employees on the NextGen practice management system and eligibility software</li> \n <li>Reviews teams EDU presentation and eye model to ensure thorough and impactful educations</li> \n <li>Works with Premium Services Training Manager to develop content and collateral for educating patients</li> \n <li>Assists the Premium Services Training Manager with updating the Patient Care Counselor Training Manual with respect to processes, workflows, and policies</li> \n <li>Reviews ATL conversions weekly; works with Team Leads and management to assist those employees or locations falling below company goals</li> \n <li>Provides feedback to directors and managers on ongoing training objectives, further development for staff and/or software, and creative ideas for continued growth and stability related to staff and practice management utilization</li> \n <li>Collaborates closely with Revenue Cycle Management Team to identify training needs, assess A/R rejections and denials, negative payer trends, and provide education and feedback to employees and management for appropriate action, including training agenda materials</li> \n <li>Prepares and delivers presentations, demonstrations, and participates in staff meetings</li> \n <li>Performs additional duties as assigned</li> \n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul> \n <li> <p>High School Diploma or GED required</p> </li> \n <li> <p>Experience working for a Ophthalmology Practice</p> </li> \n <li> <p>1-2 years working in a Patient Care Counselor Position, preferably in Premium Services</p> </li> \n <li> <p>Previous training experience preferred</p> </li> \n <li> <p>Previous supervisory and/or leadership experience preferred</p> </li> \n <li> <p>Knowledge and experience with NextGen EHR/EPM system </p> </li> \n <li> <p>Working knowledge of insurances and requirements</p> </li> \n <li> <p>Must be an intermediate to extensive PC user, and be able to maintain (create, edit, professional output) Microsoft Office products efficiently (Word, Excel, Power Point)</p> </li> \n <li> <p>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</p> </li> \n <li> <p>Ability to be a champion of change - positively leading team through changes in department</p> </li> \n <li> <p>Detailed oriented, reliable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment</p> </li> \n <li>Motivation to succeed, ability to motivate others to succeed</li> \n <li> <p>Ability to travel to all Southwestern Eye Center locations</p> </li> \n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits & Perks</h2>\n<p>Your health, happiness and your future matters!
