Description

Description The position requires the ability to restore and maintain proper mold geometry, for proper part specifications.  As part of mold maintenance, you will be responsible for the proper application of the mold release interface, where liquid chemicals are used and require use of nitrile gloves. You will be working with rubbing/polishing compounds while using a pneumatic polisher. The molds used to produce parts are a gel coat finish. Prior or current experience working with gel coats a plus, but willing to train the proper applicant. Our work environment is fast paced and does require ability to multi task. Good communication with production crew to identify mold issues and a plan maintenance schedule is critical. Ideal candidate we are seeking is a self starter and motivated. Ability to work with minimal supervision once training is completed. Candidates with prior experience in fiberglass reinforced plastics industry are encouraged to apply. ·   Restores and maintains proper mold geometry per parts specifications. ·   Ability to read blueprints. ·   Uses a pneumatic polisher while working with rubbing/polishing compounds. ·   Able to work with chemicals (PPE provided) ·   Communicates with production crew to identify mold issues and to schedule mold maintenance. ·   Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaborate in a team environment to complete production objectives in a timely manner. ·   Must have strong attention to detail, ability to multi task, and be self motived. ·   Utilizes various hand tools and pneumatic tools to patch, sand, and spray. ·   Prior experience with gel coat finish or fiberglass reinforced plastics industry a plus but not required. ·   Perform other related duties as required Requirements 1.     Prior experience in composites or similar industry preferred 2.   Strong problem solving abilities including troubleshooting and resolving issues 3.   Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time 4.   Must be able to reach and bend on a consistent basis 5.   Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs on a regular basis 6.   Ability to work in a fast paced, multi task production environment 7.   Effective communication skills, both verbal and written are essential 8.   Ability to organize and prioritize workload 9.   Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment 10.  Ability to work in harmony with others while maintaining a positive and professional attitude with overall success in mind 11\.
