Provides efficient discharge plans and obtains accurate histories at admission. Completes all required documentation relevant to patients in a timely, efficient manner. Uses hygienic practices and teaches patient hygienic practices. As needed, and using approved methods, assists in safely placing patients in seclusion or restraints and observes&nbsp;</span><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">suicide/seclusion precautions including physical requirements for physical holds and safe transport of patients.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Maintains continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Plans and implements nursing groups.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Completes all required nursing staff competencies per program regulations in a timely manner. Orients or mentors new nursing staff as needed.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and regulatory standards. Conducts patient chart audits.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and their families and friends. Participates in individual, group, and family psychotherapy and educational seminars as appropriate.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Performs medication reconciliation.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Ensures operations of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment and techniques.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Provides feedback to supervisor on an ongoing basis regarding concerns, improvements, changes, etc.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality and protects operations by keeping patient and program information confidential.
