ERS is a subsidiary of Vertiv (formerly Emerson Network Power).&nbsp; While ERS has been a leader in the commissioning of mission critical facilities for over a decade, Vertiv is committed to creating a world class Commissioning Group.&nbsp; This is a large-scale effort to provide comprehensive services to our current customers and to expand our commissioning services nationally and internationally.&nbsp; As part of its plan to grow the Commissioning Group, we have several exciting opportunities for all levels of experience for both Mechanical and Electrical Building Commissioning Engineers.</p>\n<p><strong><u>Mechanical Commissioning Engineer:</u></strong>&nbsp; Perform and manage commissioning procedures for mechanical systems, including moderately complex systems and data centers and other mission critical facilities.&nbsp; Manage and lead commissioning projects, as well as other commissioning engineers would be a plus. Be self-motivated and proactive on projects with limited supervision. Position is very mentally demanding and requires candidate to be self- aware.</p>\n<p><strong><u>RESPONSIBILITIES</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform all aspects of commissioning of mechanical systems including chilled water systems, air distribution systems, AC Systems, and building controls system.</li>\n <li>Perform commissioning design reviews.</li>\n <li>Perform commissioning submittal reviews.</li>\n <li>Develop commissioning forms, specifications, and plans.</li>\n <li>Perform commissioning design reviews.</li>\n <li>Perform commissioning submittal reviews.</li>\n <li>Understand contract documents (i.e. drawings and specifications).</li>\n <li>Understand Sequence of Operation.</li>\n <li>Develop pre-functional, functional, and integrated systems commissioning scripts.</li>\n <li>Execute commissioning scripts.</li>\n <li>Track and report commissioning issues throughout the project.</li>\n <li>Develop and assemble final commissioning reports.</li>\n <li>Operate safely in a construction atmosphere performing commissioning operations.</li>\n <li>Play an important role in each commissioning project. \n  <ul>\n   <li>Perform as lead on small or moderately sized commissioning projects.</li>\n   <li>Be responsible for commissioning communications and updates.</li>\n   <li>Insure project schedules are being met.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Maintain strong client relationships.</li>\n <li>Provide some project management</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>QUALIFICATIONS</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate Bachelor Engineer (BSEE or BSME).</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:1in\">-OR-</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate of applicable Commissioning Technical Training and two years minimum same or similar work experience.</li>\n <li>At least (5) commissioning projects including Design, Construction, and Acceptance phase processes.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:1in\">-OR-</p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school education or equivalent and five years minimum same or similar work experience.</li>\n <li>At least (8) commissioning projects including Design, Construction, and Acceptance phase processes.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of ASHRAE commissioning industry standards and a Commissioning certification is preferred.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) process for New Construction and Existing Buildings and LEED Accredited Professional is preferred.</li>\n <li>Knowledge and thorough understanding of building mechanical systems,&nbsp;chilled water systems, air distribution systems, AC Systems, building controls system, Glycol based systems, and boilers.</li>\n <li>Background and experience in operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment.</li>\n <li>Plan, schedule, and perform work for mid to large size projects and program.</li>\n <li>Complete projects consistently on time and under budget.</li>\n <li>Cultivate effective relationships with existing and potential key clients, customers and contractors.</li>\n <li>Requires a high degree of communication, supervisory, and organization skills.</li>\n <li>Communicate&nbsp;effectively,&nbsp;in writing and verbally, with clients and peers.</li>\n <li>Communicate technical or project related subjects accurately via email.</li>\n <li>Performs well as part of a team of various groups and disciplines.</li>\n <li>Good judgment, dependable, performs on projects with technical expertise.</li>\n <li>Strong computer skills including editing, formatting in Microsoft Word and Excel, use of Internet for standards/products/ manufacturer research, and operation of computer-controlled test equipment.</li>\n <li>Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and night work.</li>\n <li>Must be available for out-of-town travel of up to several weeks at a time.&nbsp; International travel may be required.</li>\n <li>Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk,&nbsp;hear,&nbsp;and smell. Frequently required to sit, climb, and balance. OR High school education or equivalent and four years minimum same&nbsp;</li>\n <li>or similar work experience.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and various industry standards, such as OSHA and NFPA.</li>\n <li>Passed NETA (National Electrical Testing Association) exam.</li>\n <li>Strong background and experience in all types of switchgear testing through the 15 kV class.</li>\n <li>Good theoretical understanding of electrical power systems.</li>\n <li>Communicate effectively, in writing and verbally, with clients and peers.</li>\n <li>Good judgment, dependable, supervises projects with technical expertise and good business management skills.</li>\n <li>Strong computer skills including editing, formatting, and using templates in Microsoft Word, use of Internet for standards/products/manufacturer research, and operation of computer-controlled test equipment.</li>\n <li>Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and night work.
