Our air treatment systems help control all internal conditions, including temperature, relative humidity, cleanliness, and ventilation.</p>\n<h2>Job Summary</h2>\n<p><strong>Bahnson Mechanical Systems </strong>is seeking an experienced <strong>Refrigeration/HVAC Service Technician </strong>that will perform maintenance and repair operations pertaining to complex heating and cooling systems and associated control systems. The <strong>Refrigeration/HVAC Service Technician</strong> will also execute their position responsibilities in accordance with company policies, practices, processes, and applicable laws.</p> \n<p><strong> </strong><strong>Key Duties:</strong></p> \n<ul> \n <li>Will be working on medium and low-temperature refrigeration systems requiring technical skills, including walk-in freezers and coolers, rooftop HVAC units, heat pumps, DX systems, pneumatic and electrical controls, and commercial/industrial type production and comfort cooling systems.</li> \n <li>Diagnose causes of equipment breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components.</li> \n <li>Perform preventive maintenance and inspection items as defined in each maintenance agreement while maintaining strict adherence to all budget objectives.</li> \n <li>Obtain clearly defined directives from the Service Coordinator on the specific tasks to be performed and assist the Service Coordinator in scheduling such inspections based on location, man-hour requirements, priorities, customer coordination and material pick-ups.</li> \n <li>Ensure timely performance of maintenance inspections.</li> \n <li>Ensure adherence to proper departure and arrival procedures through-out the workday.</li> \n <li>Maintain a neat, clean and professional appearance as it applies to the individual and company service vehicle and tools.</li> \n <li>Obtain purchase orders and make small purchases required during the performance of work, including maintaining enough standard truck inventory, conduct inventory of all standard truck stock as required.</li> \n <li>Maintain consistent compliance with company policies and procedures as they relate to proper completion of departmental documentation such as; time records, work orders, refrigerant accountability logs, and material and equipment returns.</li> \n <li>Keep the Service Coordinator informed at all time as to their whereabouts, where they have been, and where they are going.</li> \n <li>Attend periodic meetings with their supervisor as required to review work progress and potential problems felt to be beyond their ability or authority</li> \n <li>Maintain strict adherence to all company safety rules and practices and attend required safety meetings.</li> \n</ul> \n<p><strong>Preferred Skills and Abilities</strong></p> \n<ul> \n <li>5+ years of refrigeration and HVAC system servicing, installation, troubleshooting, and repair.</li> \n <li>High school diploma or GED required.</li> \n <li>Working knowledge of the refrigeration/HVAC service industry.</li> \n <li>Working knowledge of federal, state and city regulations and guidelines.</li> \n <li>Ability to work with and understanding of the refrigeration cycle</li> \n <li>Have knowledge of current BOCA Code and OSHA safety regulations</li> \n <li>Has the ability to coordinate and perform multiple activities in a timely manner.</li> \n <li>Has the ability to maintain a sense of urgency, but remain calm, when handling emergencies.</li> \n <li>Possess EPA approved CFC Certification.</li> \n <li>Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Outlook)</li> \n</ul> \n<p><strong>Bahnson offers high-quality employee benefits that start the 1st day of the month after your start date!</strong></p> \n<ul> \n <li>Health Insurance: 4 plans available to choose from with Rx coverage</li> \n <li>Heath Saving Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) options available</li> \n <li>Dental insurance: 2 plans available to choose from</li> \n <li>Vision insurance</li> \n <li>Company-paid Accidental Death/Dismemberment coverage</li> \n <li>Company-paid Life insurance</li> \n <li>Company-paid Short-Term & Long-Term Disability coverage</li> \n <li>401(k) Retirement Plan with company match up to the first 5% and immediate vesting</li> \n</ul> \n<p><strong> </strong></p> \n<p><strong>Other Great Benefits:</strong></p> \n<ul> \n <li>Competitive Paid Days Off + Holiday Pay</li> \n <li>Weekly pay with direct deposit and per diem plan</li> \n <li>Company vehicle</li> \n <li>Gas card</li> \n <li>Employee Stock Purchase plan with 10% company match</li> \n <li>Employee referral incentives</li> \n <li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP)</li> \n <li>Tuition Reimbursement</li> \n</ul> \n<p>Notice to prospective employees: There have been fraudulent postings and emails regarding job openings.
