    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Position</strong>: Head Day Camp Counselor <strong>Location/Dept.</strong>: Corps<strong>Schedule: </strong>M-F, 8:00AM - 5:30PM </p>\n<p><strong>Reporting Relationship:</strong> Child Care Coordinator, Assistant Child Care Coordinator, Music Ministry Assistant, Head Counselors<strong>Salary: </strong>$13.25 per hour </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Position Description:</strong> Provide a safe, fun, and caring environment for children enrolled in the Summer Day Camp program. Counselors are responsible for leading the group of children in assigned activities and implementing procedures.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Requirements: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepare a schedule of weekly activities for use during the Counselor Directed Activity times, gathering supplies and prepared to teach and engage the children</li>\n <li>Lead children through activities with enthusiasm and assist with presentation of daily program offers: organized activities, theme activities, devotions, etc.</li>\n <li>Consistently adhere and implement the process for child release from program to parent or organized guardian</li>\n <li>Enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining an environment conductive to fun and safety for all campers</li>\n <li>Initiate and maintain positive relationships with all staff, guest, children, and parent/guardian.</li>\n <li>Work in a team environment and communicate with Child Care Coordinator daily regarding concerns/issues with the program, children, parents, and coworkers</li>\n <li> Assist in maintaining clean-up schedules to maintain the cleanliness of the building and property, including completion of task listed on daily clean-up list</li>\n <li>Role model dignity and respect for others at all times.
