Your role and responsibilities: As a member of the Quantum Architecture team, the selected candidate will work on various aspects of quantum error correction for Xanadu’s photonic quantum computer with a focus on decoding methods for quantum error correcting codes. Basic qualifications and experience: MSc or PhD in Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities/deadlines. Experience with classical and quantum error-correcting code constructions. Expertise in theory and implementation of decoding algorithms for quantum error-correcting codes, especially in message-passing algorithms such as belief propagation and its variants. Demonstrated programming skills (include GitHub or similar on CV) and familiarity with version control software such as Git. Strong knowledge of mathematics. Preferred qualifications and experience: PhD, postdoctoral or industry experience in quantum physics or technology. Exposure to FPGAs or ASICs. Exposure to C/C++. Expertise with Julia (preferred) or Python. Experience with decoding both CSS and non-CSS codes This is for a new position. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and internal benchmarks. The base salary range is 120,000 - 140,000 CAD. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
