This position is responsible for leading maintenance crews during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs, and servicing of company aircraft. The Lead Technician will serve as the primary point of contact for technical guidance and work execution on their shift and will coordinate directly with the Supervisor/Station Manager and other departments to ensure seamless operation and compliance with all regulatory and company procedures.</p><p><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Conduct daily crew briefings and assign tasks based on operational needs.</li><li>Manage the execution of maintenance activities (mechanical, avionics, and interiors) to support on-time and squawk-free aircraft departures.</li><li>Ensure all maintenance is performed in accordance with GMM, FARs, and applicable procedures.</li><li>Enter required maintenance data and corrective actions into TRAX or other maintenance tracking systems.</li><li>Lead and supervise maintenance technicians and support personnel; ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.</li><li>Perform R.O.N. (Remain Overnight) checks and coordinate aircraft towing to appropriate gates for scheduled departures.</li><li>Conduct audits of completed aircraft documentation including logbook pages, work cards, non-routines, and engineering documents (EOs, EAs, etc.).</li><li>Provide on-the-job training (OJT) to ensure technicians meet and maintain qualification standards.</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by enforcing a &ldquo;clean as you go&rdquo; policy.</li><li>Ensure accurate and timely shift turnover communication, both verbally and in writing.</li><li>Actively contribute to process improvement and team efficiency initiatives.</li><li>Support personnel management activities including performance monitoring, mentoring, and discipline as required.</li><li>Maintain awareness of company communications, including shift emails and procedural updates.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>FAA Airframe &amp; Powerplant (A&amp;P) Certification</strong> required.</li><li>Minimum of 2 - 5 years&rsquo; hands-on aircraft maintenance experience (line or heavy).</li><li>Demonstrated leadership experience in a fast-paced maintenance environment preferred.</li><li>Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively under time constraints.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of aviation safety protocols, FAR Part 121 regulations, and technical procedures.</li><li>Proficiency with maintenance tracking systems (e.g., TRAX) and Microsoft Office tools.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to lead by example, motivate teams, and maintain a professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.</li><li>Strong customer service orientation and ability to interface effectively with internal and external stakeholders.</li></ul><p><strong>Working Conditions &amp; Physical Requirements</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Work is performed in airport ramp and hangar environments with exposure to weather, noise, and moving equipment.</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions including bending, standing, climbing, and kneeling.</li><li>Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Enforce company standards, including proper uniforms, tool control, and adherence to safety protocols.</li><li>Provide input on staffing, training, and performance assessments.</li><li>Support coordination with Scheduling, Maintenance Control, Quality, and Planning teams.</li><li>Contribute to operational reports and internal documentation as needed.</li></ul><p><strong>Global Crossing Airlines</strong> is an equal opportunity employer and promotes a diverse and inclusive work environment.
