font-size: 15px;\">The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant, under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, treats patients, in accordance with the orders of the referring physician, through the use of the therapeutic procedures and supportive devices intended to maximize functional potentials in all areas of a patient’s life.  The therapist is responsible for the implementation of the Standards of Practice for Occupational Therapy written by the American Occupational Therapy Association.</span></p>\n<ul></ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Occupational Therapist Assistant will report to the Rehabilitation Department Manager.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold;\">Pay Range:</span> Dependent upon experience</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span>JOB QUALIFICATIONS:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span>Education:  </span></span><span>Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy Assistant and eligible for licensure with the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span>Required Certification/Registration:</span></span><span>  Must have current license, certification or registration with the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">What you’ll do:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Provide patient care by performing the duties of a s</span><span>taff Occupational Therapist Assistant as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist, including completing necessary documentation of patient conditions, reactions, and responses to treatment in accordance with standards of practice.</span></li>\n<li><span>Assist the Occupational Therapist in communicating with physicians, departmental/hospital personnel and family members, as needed, regarding patient progress, problems and plans.</span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span>Assure the continued growth and improvement of the rehabilitation Services Department.</span></li>\n<li><span>Attend and participate in required departmental meetings, and other meetings as instructed by the Director of Rehabilitation Services.</span></li>\n<li><span>Attend continuing education opportunities appropriate to discipline and responsibilities.</span></li>\n<li><span>Complete other duties as assigned.</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Complete all mandatory training/in-services and certification requirements.</span></li>\n<li><span>Participate in the Continuous Quality Improvement process, as instructed by the Director of Rehabilitation Services.</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain equipment in proper working order and adapts equipment to meet the needs of the patient.</span></li>\n<li><span>Act in compliance with regulatory, corporate and professional standards and guidelines.</span></li>\n<li><span>Observe, record and report to the Occupational Therapist the conditions, patient reactions and responses related to treatment.</span></li>\n<li><span>Instruct patients and their families/caregivers in exercise programs and therapeutic procedures to be continued following the patient’s discharge as directed by the Occupational Therapist.</span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span>Perform treatments as ordered in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with established practice guidelines.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"> <span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold;\">What you bring to the table:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure with the Kansas Board of Healing Arts. </span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Current C.P.R. certification or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire.</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Thorough knowledge of principles, methods and techniques involved in performing occupational therapy services.  </span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Ability to deal understandingly and tactfully in a professional manner with patients and their families.  </span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Ability to maintain good working relationship with personnel in other departments.</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Ability to provide direction in application of occupational therapy process, quality improvement standard, organization and departmental goals and objectives.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"> <span style=\"font-size: 16px;
