Must maintain knowledge of principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and assist in training a small team of therapists to provide quality services to all clients at LAC. Clients include individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders and other language delays.</p><p><strong>Reports to</strong>: Program Managers and/or Clinical Director</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong>:</p><ul><li>Substitutes for 1:1 therapists as needed</li><li>All responsibilities for therapists apply to trainer</li><li>Completes &amp; maintains Registered Behavior Technician credentialing</li><li>Assists with staff training specific to ABA concepts and principles.</li><li>Assists with staff training specific to learner individual treatment plans, behavior plans, &amp; RBT task list</li><li>Serve as fill in for call offs or work with a learner until a new RBT is hired or certified</li><li>Assumed to be a “master” RBT with ABA concepts and applying ABA therapy.</li><li>Responsible for being cross-trained with learners.</li><li>Provide ongoing training support to all RBTs.</li><li>Monitors &amp; tracks therapist feedback accurately</li><li>Completes support staff checklists and trains therapists to lead group skills</li><li>Lead groups skills, as needed</li><li>Completes therapist competency checks</li><li>Assists therapists in completing paperwork &amp; data, as needed</li><li>Demonstrates creativity &amp; “think outside the box” attitude to provide support and achieve positive outcomes for all clients?</li><li>Consistently builds rapport with clients &amp; families to achieve best possible outcomes?</li><li>Attends &amp; maintains all outside training certifications (CPI, CPR, First Aid, RBT, etc.)</li><li>Attends &amp; implements feedback from weekly supervision with?Program Manager?</li><li>Assists Program Manager in prepping materials (insurance forms, parent notes, inventories, program materials, etc.)</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Lifting/Carrying more than 50 lbs</li><li>Running</li><li>Able to sustain impact to body (i.e., being hit, etc.) in any area</li><li>Crouching, squatting, kneeling for sustained periods of time</li><li>Bending at the waist to touch knees and/or toes</li><li>Full range of motion of hands and arms</li><li>Sitting on floor and chair for long periods of time</li><li>Ability to move quickly from standing to seated, or kneeling position, without support</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>One year as an RBT and 6 months in a training capacity</li><li>Exceeds all expectations in completing therapist duties as summarized below:</li><li>Providing direct 1:1 therapy sessions</li><li>Implementing all skill acquisition programs &amp; maintenance programs</li><li>Collecting accurate data via central reach</li><li>Implementing all behavior protocols &amp; FBA/BIPs as provided</li><li>Participates in co-treats with BCBA, SLP, and therapist as needed</li></ul><p><br></p><ul><li>All other responsibilities of a 1:1 therapist are also expected</li><li>Completes Level 2 &amp; 3 competency checklist to proficiency</li><li>Maintains attendance expectations</li><li>Flexible, creative, &amp; possessing excellent time management skills</li><li>Leadership experience &amp; skills demonstrated</li><li>Knowledge of basic functions of behavior</li><li>Knowledge of data collection procedures</li><li>Able to communicate expressively and receptively for all responsibilities within the job role.</li></ul>",
