    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Under the direction of the HIM Manager, the Coder will be responsible for chart review with experience in Inpatient and Outpatient coding within the hospital setting.&nbsp; Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, PCS, CPT/HCPCS coding, and CCI edits.&nbsp; Verify completeness of medical records to ensure documentation supports the assigned codes and modifiers.&nbsp; Knowledge of reimbursement systems and regulations pertaining to billing, documentation and compliance standards including federal and state regulations.&nbsp; Maintain coding knowledge of current coding updates, medical terminology, updated changes in healthcare regulations and maintain up to date coding certification.&nbsp; Attention to detail with excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with healthcare providers, physicians, residents, and other departments within the hospital.</p>",
