    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position:         </span>Safety Manager</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Supervisor:   </span>General Manager/President</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Description:</span> The Safety Manager will maintain effective safety operations across the organization.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duties and Responsibilities: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and programs related to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) practices and regulatory requirements.</li>\n<li>Ensure all federal, state, and local EHS laws, regulations, codes, and site safety rules are observed.</li>\n<li>Develop, maintain, and enforce safety policies and procedures tailored to our business operations.</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations (e.g., OSHA &amp; EPA).</li>\n<li>Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.</li>\n<li>Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.</li>\n<li>Coordinate safety training for new hires and ongoing employee education.</li>\n<li>Maintain safety records, including training logs, accident and incident reports, and inspection checklists.</li>\n<li>Serve as the primary contact for workers’ compensation claims and coordinate return-to-work programs.</li>\n<li>Promote a culture of safety through ongoing communication and employee engagement.</li>\n<li>Monitor and manage safety-related equipment such as harnesses, first aid stations, eyewash stations, fire extinguishers, and emergency preparedness plans.</li>\n<li>Oversee powered industrial equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts to ensure they are properly inspected, maintained, and operated only by trained and authorized personnel.</li>\n<li>Ability to travel off-premises when necessary.</li>\n<li>Performs other related duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills and Competencies: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Extensive knowledge of current company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.</li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li>\n<li>Ability to conduct training.</li>\n<li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.</li>\n<li>Strong supervisory and leadership skills.</li>\n<li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Education and Experience: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in Health and Occupational Safety</li>\n<li>At least 1-2 years of experience in the field.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Risk Assessment/Management</li>\n<li>Administrative policies and procedures</li>\n<li>Familiarity with project and department budget process and tools</li>\n<li>Knowledge of project controls</li>\n<li>Conceptual planning ability</li>\n<li>Conflict management and problem-solving skills</li>\n<li>Leadership ability</li>\n<li>Multi-tasking ability</li>\n<li>Communication, meeting, and presentation skills</li>\n<li>Comfort with time reporting systems</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Requirements: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li>\n<li>Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.</li>\n<li>Ability to travel throughout facility as required to conduct safety inspections.</li>\n<li>Ability to travel across the United States.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
