    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>JOB DESCRIPTION</strong></p><p><strong>Network Engineer&nbsp;</strong><strong>&ndash;</strong><strong>&nbsp;IT</strong></p><p><strong>Department: &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</strong><strong>Information Technology</strong></p><p><strong>FLSA Designation: &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</strong><strong>Non-Exempt</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>PURPOSE</strong></p><p>The Network Engineer will be responsible for the availability, performance, and security of Baker Group&rsquo;s and Baker Group&rsquo;s client network systems. &nbsp;This position will assist with design, implementation, maintenance, and support of our growing network systems. &nbsp; Performs related work as required.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p><strong><em>The following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be constructed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.</em></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Design and implement OT and IT network architectures that support business operations and technology integration.</li><li>Collaborate with departments and business units to define requirements and deliver optimal network solutions.</li><li>Assess current networks and infrastructures and recommend enhancements to improve performance, reliability, and security.</li><li>Develop network security protocols and policies to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations.</li><li>Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support for network-related problems.</li><li>Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve network designs.</li><li>Document network architecture, configurations, and processes to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance.</li><li>Provide training and guidance to IT and OT teams on network management and best practices.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>MINIMUM EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.</li><li>Proven experience (5+ years) in network architecture and design, specifically in OT and IT environments.</li><li>Strong knowledge of networking protocols, architecture, and technologies (TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLANs, etc.)</li><li>Experience with network security frameworks and tools (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, etc.).</li><li>Familiarity with industrial control systems (ICS) and SCADA networks.</li></ul><p>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS</p><ul><li>N/A</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>MENTAL AND PHYSICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</strong></p><ul><li>Excellent interpersonal skills</li><li>Patience and ability to solve complex problems</li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft operating system/applications&nbsp;</li><li>Moderate typing skills</li><li>Advanced understanding of networking hardware and software functionality</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY</strong></p><ul><li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer</li><li>May have occasional visits to a job site which would require periods of standing, walking and/or climbing stairs</li><li>Ability to lift/move monitors and PCs up to 100 pounds on occasion</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>EQUIPMENT/TOOLS</strong></p><ul><li>Computers</li><li>Microsoft systems/applications</li></ul><p><strong><br></strong></p><p><em><strong>Baker Group&nbsp;</strong></em><strong>is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
